Just some thoughts...
What does it take for a person to take the next step in something they’ve always wanted to try? Is it conviction? Is it confidence? Is it care?

But what is that thing* that prevents you from trying something new? Let’s be honest...it’s fear. Fear of the risk, the possibility, and the outcome.

I told this to my children the other day: Courage is the journey, confidence is the reward.

We understand the opposite of fear is courage. The more reps of courage you put in will become the groundwork that builds your confidence to overcome fear.

Start. Try. Do. Be.

Don’t let the fear of judgment keep you from your growth.

I just recorded my first solo episode of The MK Report and it was a bit nerve wracking not to have a co-host this episode… but I made it through and completed it.

Most people don’t know this but I failed public speaking class 3x in college and eventually dropped out mainly due to social anxiety and other life decisions.

Imo, putting yourself out there in content produces the same nervousness similar to public speaking because you’re still subjecting yourself to public criticism and content lives on the internet forever. People are paying attention whether they engage or not.

However, when I reached my 30s, I realized what other people do, thin, or say about me doesn’t affect me as much as it once did when I was younger.

So cheers to “College Steff”, you’re finally growing in something you used to be afraid of. by @steffanygraham

Ten years ago, we chose each other without knowing what the next decade would ask of us. We didn’t know the businesses we would build, the risks we would take, the seasons we would outgrow, the children we would raise, or how many times life would require us to become new versions of ourselves.

What I appreciate most about these ten years isn’t that everything has been easy or that we’ve always gotten it right. It’s that we’ve continued to grow beside each other. You’ve seen me through ambition, uncertainty, success, failure, transition, and everything in between. You’ve supported dreams before they made sense, challenged me when I needed perspective, and reminded me that what we are building together matters more than anything I could ever build on my own.

We’ve changed a lot in ten years but I'm not together with the same person I was with 10 years ago. I’m grateful that our relationship has had enough grace to change with us. We’ve learned how to dream together, sacrifice together, raise a family together, build together, and trust God together even when the next chapter wasn’t clear.

Ten years later, I would still choose you. And if this is what God has done with our first decade together, I can only imagine what He has planned for the next one! by @steffanygraham

A #Thoughts Post

There are times when I'm beside myself and wonder "when is it my time?" I feel like I have all these ideas, dreams, and aspirations to bring to life but I have other priorities to tend to for now.

It's not time. It's not time. It's not time.
I repeat this in my head a lot.
Have patience. Be patient. It just's not time.

And that's the hard part for me. In many ways, I feel so ready to do, try, and be. To build bigger and move full force... but I've also learned in my archive of experiences is that you can't force God's time. I've tried to force my way in life before and it left me drained, doubtful, and disposed of. Other times, I literally could not move forward no matter how much I pushed and trudged my way for entrance. I know God's time is how He protects me in the now... but my humanity can get so impatient sometimes.

I'm a strong believer of: If God meant it for you, it'll come to you... you just have to say 'yes' when you recognize it. Sometimes, I just forget it. When I get like thoughts as such, I takes me a hot minute to take a step back from my frustrations and look at what I already have before me--from the extraordinary blessings to the simple ones I take for granted everyday.

Truthfully, you can't find lack if you're filled with gratitude.

I'm exactly where I wanted to be a few years ago. As I'm writing this post, I realize God's telling me to sit in this season and SEE it. To stop searching for the next, the next, and the next--but to take this moment in, appreciate it, and honor God in it.

Wow, after writing this, I'm filled with awe. Thanks God. 🙏

When we searched for the new location of our studio, our brokers tried to imagine what we were looking for but they couldn't grasp the vision.

You can share the vision with everyone and only a few will understand it. You can be in the same empty room with someone and all they will see are the plain walls.

The point is, no one will understand what you mean until you show them.

To my husband, we have officially been together 1/3 of our life and it feels we've spent a lifetime together. 10 years dedicated to learning, building, growing, and maturing. Thank you for being my person to navigate life with. 🤍 All glory to God on this one! 🙏
