Playing with the Alan Braufman Quintet at Monks Jazz Club on 10/13 was invigorating and inspiring. What a great human with a lifelong involvement and commitment to this music. Many thanks to Bret Sjerven for helping to connect Trio Glossía with Mr. Braufman. Alan Braufman- alto saxophone/flute, Chase Baird- tenor saxophone, Matthew Frerck- acoustic bass, Joshua Cañate- drums, Stefan González- vibraphone. Today was a beautiful day recording Aaron González, Stefan González, Joshua Thomson and our special guest, the great Alan Braufman (alto sax & flute).

What a phenomenal experience to have Mr. Braufman join us who is briefly in Austin to link up with @trioglossia (DFW) who came down to back Braufman at @monksjazz last night. His creative energy and wisdom is inspiring.

This session was a long time coming, and had been talked about for some time between Joshua and Stefan. We were glad we could fit this in prior to Stefan’s big move to Chicago and Joshua’s fall Japan and Taiwan tour with @atlasmaior.

Thank you @stuartsikes for the wonderful engineering work today. taken in Austin, Texas by @stefineb

These are Trio Glossia’s last two shows in North Texas before Stefan moves for Chicago. We hope to see you. Thursday October 22 @danssilverleaf with Sarmat, Cognizant, and Baring Teeth. Thursday October 29 @fullcityrooster with Sleeping Beast. Cheers! by @stefineb

Heavy Baby Sea Slugs recording session at the house today. Pizza, beer, Thai food, margaritas. Playing with the Alan Braufman Quintet tomorrow at Monks Jazz Club in Austin, and then recording an album on Wednesday in trio with my brother Aaron on acoustic bass and Joshua Thomson on alto saxophone/reeds. By Wednesday that’ll be 5 recording sessions in the last 4 months. I’ll never take the excitement and creativity of my life for granted. I’m very lucky. by @stefineb

We’ve put in some hard work this past year, and yet there’s still much more to be done. Thanks to everyone who has supported Trio Glossía in anyway over the last 4 years of our existence. We currently have many things in the works. In the meantime, if you live in the D/FW metroplex or Austin, come see a show. Tonight, 10/9, we play @theponydenton. Next Tuesday, 10/13, all three members of Trio Glossía will be playing in the Alan Braufman Quintet featuring Chase Baird @monksjazz in Austin. Thursday, 10/22, Trio Glossía plays @danssilverleaf with Sarmat, Baring Teeth, and Cognizant. Our last Texas show for a while will be on Thursday, 10/29 @fullcityrooster with Sleeping Beast. Cheers!
