And we out!

To say it’s been a busy three months is a huge understatement. In this time I had more orders come in than ever before, a breast cancer diagnosis, a 50th birthday and packing up my studio to move to Greenville South Carolina. The good news is the breast cancer is gone; I’m leaving it where I got it in the great state of Texas. I wish I could say it’s been a fun three years but it hasn’t because Texas is just not our jam but my Austin and Dallas collectors were the best part.

The other two things that have kept me going are my husband and the work we’re doing together with the Torn series.

My gratitude for the many collectors I’ve worked with has been enormous and those same collectors will stay with me no matter where I live. We sell across the country and I had two sales outside the US (London and Netherlands). We plan to expand and grow. Stay tuned for the beautiful things that are coming. #abstractart #contemparyart #fiberart #3dart #design #interiordesign @stefshockfineart @lambertcustomcarpentry by @stefshockfineart

What’s happening in the studio today. Prepping pieces to move to their next home. Lola always wondering why I stand in a room all day poking and prodding at fabric. This is my happy place. The calm I feel when I do this work is beyond measurement. Why mock ups? Every customer gets a review of the piece before I officially add the ribbons. I send two images, one of the piece by itself and one inside a mock up. This allows the buyer to see it in context and also gives them a sense of scale. These are a small few I had in my album from the last couple months of work. by @stefshockfineart

June was so busy I didn’t post but here’s some of the pieces I made. I’ve been really distracted by politics lately. I’m grateful to have art to distract me but let’s be real, the world is changing. I’m noticing that any moment I’m not creating, that’s what I’m thinking about. #abstractart #3dart #fiberart #interiordesign #wallsculpture by @stefshockfineart

The black walnut is the perfect frame for this piece. Thanks to @lambertcustomcarpentry for making it. She’s on her way to Minneapolis in the morning and she will be missed. #3dart #fiberart #contemporaryart #abstractart #design by @stefshockfineart
