The coziest room in the house? We’d argue yes🤍

Designed as a quiet retreat within DGI With a Spritz, this library was layered with warmth, texture, and intention. Custom built-ins provide both storage and display, while carefully curated accessories give the space a collected, lived-in feel.

One of our favorite details is the striking artwork by Michigan-born artist Stef Shock. Picture lights highlight its richly textured surface, adding depth and drawing attention to its beautifully frayed edges.

One of the questions I hear most often is:

“How do I know what art is right?”

My answer is always the same: start with the piece that makes you pause.

Not the one that matches the sofa.
Not the one everyone else has.
The one you keep thinking about.

The best rooms aren’t built around trends. They’re built around pieces that tell a story.

This is why I started Local Canvas—to connect people with original work from talented local artists and help them find pieces they’ll love living with every day.

What’s one room in your home that’s still waiting for the right piece of art?

The Lakehouse was a study in light and texture creating interest instead of contrast and color. In the primary suite, the mood shifts from day to night and energetic to relaxing.

What inspired the Torn Ribbons? Layered fabric, topographic maps, sand dunes and wood rings of course. #art #abstractart #3dart #design #interiordesign #contemporyart @stefshockfineart

Just installed ✨ The new art collection at Modera University Park by @millcreekresidential brings vintage charm and timeless soul to this beautiful Denver community.

Inspired by the warmth of an old library and the character of the English countryside, the artworks layer history with a contemporary twist—moody palettes, pastoral landscapes, and delicate florals that honor the legacy of @uofdenver while celebrating its future.

Featured Artists:
Stefanie Shock, Sam Nash, Pam Fortner, William Mangum, Nikki Liovich, David Erickson, Manny Woodard, Kyle Goderwis, Susannah Carson
