Hi guys, it’s me Steph. 😍 it honestly feels weird posting about me but there are so many new faces here now! Thank you so so much! I wanted to share a little bit about the crazy mom and book loving girl who keeps popping up on your feed. 😍🥹 I hope you feel welcomed ALWAYS.

I started this because my love for books, reading and writing had been rekindled and it just felt right. I knew I had to get on here and try to find other book - writing loving friends 🫶🏼

Brain Ramblings: To truly move forward, one must acknowledge the past no matter how ugly or beautiful or in between. Avoidance is often a safety mechanism but it’s that, avoidance. The moment my husband told me “we’ve got HBO for 8 weeks” I knew what I was determined to do! I have never EVER EVER cried so much for a tv show, felt rage, hope, loss, betrayal, horror and awe like this before!

Game of Thrones will forever be on my top list of tv shows and cinematic masterpieces! I loved it so much I went out and bought the first book (yes, I know I bought an unfinished story but still!)

But, it’s weird coming out of a series whether it be a book or a tv show/movie and feel it in your core as it resonates many things within yourself.

All I can end with is this:

For all those GC lovers out there 🤣 okay, don’t hate me for this but I loved this book! Does it have a high rating on Goodreads? No, it doesn’t! 💀 but idk, I needed this- 30 year olds lost and stuck in life in this old town that’s stuck in its ways.

I loved the back and forth between the present and twelve months back as we follow Kirby the FMC through a fast paced mystery of a 30 year old string of murders when an unexpected new flatmate arrives at her (and 3 others flatmates) apartment. She goes from being a timid journalist writing about kittens stuck in a tree to joining the latest social media app and becoming a “Sherlock” of her own.

But really, nothing and no one is as it seems and despite the iffy reviews I was sucked in and laughed and flinched at the occasional gore. Thanks to this I had to go to my local @halfpricebooks and buy 5 “new” thrillers to ring in this coming spooky season.
