*finally oh* mini june dump 😭

despite how tumultuous June was, I’m endlessly grateful for the love and care that found me when I didn’t even know I needed it (& a break from this smelly lagos)
that short trip to ibadan really healed me and i am super grateful to u!🥹 @amandaiheme for opening up your beautiful home to me and taking care of me, omg, you are such a divine being ❤️🌱

I had my second exhibition and my first as a member of @saraunniya.ene Collective, for the 2025/2026 Dreaming New Worlds exhibition by @goetheinstitut_nigeria

It was such a beautiful and emotional experience to see our matriarchal dream city, built on care and protection come to life.

After months, of imagining Taruwa together, witnessing it unfold felt incredibly special.
By mapping the city through scent, we created sense of calm and safety for women and disabled communities. It invites everyone to explore this new world through scent while connecting with ancestral memories.

Thank you to everyone who responded to the open call, those who showed up for the exhibition opening night at @ccalagos , and to those who continue to step into the city and experience it. Your presence means so much to me!

I would also like to warmly express a heartfelt gratitude to Abela of @abela_olfactoryartcentre for her mentorship and support. It has truly been a privilege knowing and learning from you.
A huge thank you to all sponsors and collaborators.

And finally, I give thanks to Queen Amina. Through her strength and protective spirit, we have been able to imagine and build this city on the grounds of safety and power for marginalized communities.

I had my debut (group) exhibition, Radical Love: Where Spirit Transcends Law, curated by @an4yimi , held @thehumanrightshub

It was such an incredible moment, and I was surrounded by brilliant artists whose works were bold, tender, vivid, calm, and expressive.

A great time was had, and I’m grateful to everyone who made this possible and to those who took the time to attend the opening night.🫶🏾
