POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Two weeks ago, i decided to finish this painting of a #saintlaurent ad I saw from a 2020 September issue of #voguemagazine. When I first started it, I hated it. After 6 years, I revisited and thought about how hard I was on myself! This time around is about enjoying the process.

I made a zine about heat.
Not the cute kind. The kind where your neck fan is losing the battle and cars spontaneously combust.
IT’S TOO HOT is pages of color, sweat, and bad decisions. I added a BONUS of a classic of mine when you unfold it!

Printed + folded by me in Long Beach 🌴
$7 each | DM to order yours! (Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay)
I’ll be sending out on Tuesday after Labor Day!
Shipping included!

I had a long haired chihuahua named Chico. He was the family dog for a while. RIP lil man.

Did anyone else have a dog named Chico?

Yesterday, my illustrator and I were invited to attend Whitney Library's 2nd Annual Black Author's Panel.

We used this opportunity to debut our book to the public. I want to thank so many different souls for being part of my journey.

Des, thank you for the opportunity. Im forever indebted.
My mother and brother 🥰
My left and right hands, Rish and China
My sisters- all of you.. in this reel are Mel, Victora, Irma, and Sydnee
My new friends
Those who've spread the word and believed in the vision.
Those who've purchased a copy.

So honored to participate in “Para Sa Atin - For Us” with incredibly talented Filipinas and thanks to Ailene Pasco @ozzyollyandox_archive for curating. But most importantly, bringing everyone under one roof! Thank you to @nvartscouncil and @neaarts for making it possible to share our culture🙏🏾❤️.

Despite all the trauma this world is going through as of most recently, we chose art, healing, and community.

See deets on last slide.

For some of y’all who didn’t really know and was curious - surprise! I’m Black and Filipina. 😂✊🏾❤️

Sadly, I will not be attending but I will be here on the gram to answer any questions about this piece titled, “Just Chill.”

Love y’all and MABUHAY!

I had the opportunity to illustrate for my dear squirrel Chanel @hersnapshots @thenovasoleil .
Chanel has been a light for the community and especially for me when I was in Las Vegas. She didn’t even know me and helped get me through tough times. She has inspired myself to keep creating. Thank you, Chanel, for being there for me and the literally the whole universe.

PREORDER this little book/zine we made together! Comes out in February!
