In 2018, our whole fam of 6 got the chance to spend a couple days in Washington, DC seeing the sights. Before we checked out all the inspiring memorials & museums, our first stop was Arlington National Cemetery. The day was really hot, the walk was long for little legs, and after a while the kids were pretty over it. Uncomfortable. Tired. Ugggghhh Daaaaaad. But, that’s why we started there. To experience some struggle, to put things in perspective while walking among the headstones of over 400,000 who made the ultimate sacrifice. Yeah, your feet hurt? Mine too.

I’m always so amazed by the human capacity to take things for granted. Freedom is not free. Here’s to all our veterans - those who paid the ultimate price, but also, those who served, knowing what their personal cost could be. Risk.

A couple months back I filmed this line riding down our hill behind our house. In this strange time, when we’re all sheltered in place, I’ve been reflecting with gratitude that this is what “Stay Home” looks like for our fam.
Speaking of gratitude, I wanted to give a public shout out to all of the medical professionals on the frontlines. Especially my pal Dr. @PeteAcker, who I was blessed to ride this same line with in Feb. Now he’s at war, face to face with covid19 on a daily basis at Stanford ER where he works. Thanks Pete, for the heroism. Really looking forward to riding this run again with you next winter. by @stephenwfox

On the 5th anniversary of marrying @HannaPFox in our backyard in Portland, we got the keys to a new place here in Park City - a rusty old watertower, a house that needs a ton of work, and a little over 10 acres of dirt on a ridgeline.

Gratitude is an understatement. And our highest hope for the place is to share it with friends - that it will be a heckuva magnet to come visit, explore, eat, ride, & enjoy it with all 6 of us. taken in Silver Creek Junction, Utah by @stephenwfox

After years of watching friends n fam ride pow around Nelson, BC, and dreaming of getting to @baldfacelodge, I finally made it to this corner of the planet with @DestroyerEquipment. The pow is brown, & the snowboards have wheels. Just as amazing a place as I had dreamed - including legendary hospitality by @baldisbeautiful. Grateful!
