“ It began with a discovery of witches” 🥀 ✨Series Review ✨ All Souls Trilogy By: Deborah Harkness 🔮 Discovery of Witches ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Shadow of Night ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Book of Life ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m both happy and sad that I finished this amazing trilogy. This Dark Academia world was just such a dream, if you love Outlander, I highly recommend this !! The writing was sensational, I absolutely loved the way Harkness has enveloped me in this world of witches and vampires. It’s close to a historic based romance and I really enjoyed it, all the head nods to Henry VIII and and Shakespeare were so entertaining. The CHARACTERS ! I really love these characters, our two main characters have my heart, Diana and Matthew had such an amazing story and so so much love between them I kept blushing half the time. Loved loved loved the side characters that come in later in the series as well, pretty much all the vampire relatives were so fun to read about. But steph… 5 stars for the whole series !?! YES . It was a masterpiece, and I can’t wait to start the show based off of this series as soon as I possibly can. #discoveryofwitches #deborahharkness #adultfantasy #yafantasy #fantasybooks #bookobsessed #booklife#bookseries #tbr #bookish #fiction #yafantasy #fantasybooks #bookshelf #igreads#faefantasy #darkfantasy #fictionbooks #readeveryday #bibliophilelife #biblio #readingcommunity #readit #bookrecs #darkacademia #darkacademiaaesthetic #cosyvibes #booklover #booksbooksbooks #bookworm by @stephsbooktrove
✨The Five Crowns of Okrith Series ✨ This series still has two more books currently on my physical tbr that I still have to get to! But I wanted to share some love on this under rated fantasy 🫶🏻 The High Mountain Court ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5⭐️ - The one that made me fall in love with the world, the story telling, and the characters ! I love a good book with banter and this was everything I wanted! I’m also a sucker for enemies to lovers which this just *chefs kiss* I couldn’t put it down !! The Witches Blade ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5⭐️ I couldn’t believe that this was better than the first book until I actually read it ! It made me even more excited for the next book in the series to come ! We have a different leading lady but still a fantastic heroine to read about. The chemistry between her and her love interest kept me enthralled the whole book ! I felt like I could really relate to her and her struggles she was facing, such a well written and authentic MC !! The Rogue Crown ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 ⭐️ So I was skeptical about this book when I was reading the synopsis, but of course I dove in anyway ! I felt like this story dragged on for a bit more than the other books, and it was more of a slow burn as opposed to my usual favourite tropes, non the less the characters depth and chemistry kept me hooked ! Have you read these books yet ? Let me know what your take on them were and if I should bother continuing to read the rest of the series ?? #fantasy #books #fae #bookish #bookreview by @stephsbooktrove
“The ghost of that girl still lived inside me somewhere. She had what it took to survive, and I had what it took to live.” 🥀🕊️ The War of Lost Hearts Trilogy By: Carissa Broadbent ✨ Daughter of No Worlds ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️ Children of Fallen Gods ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️.5 Mother of Death and Dawn ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️ “ Men want power because it makes them feel good. Women want power because it lets us do things.” ✨Spoiler free summary ✨ Tisannah has my heart, she is the FMC, she’s had a hard life growing up in a civil war, her country was taken from her and all her people made slaves. She has promised to free them and travels to another country to upgrade her magic. She becomes the apprentice to a veteran war hero , Max who has his own demons from his last that he is running from. They save eachother in many ways. But once Tisannah is forced by the government to possess a weapon and wield it, she will give anything to free her people, and max would rather let the world burn then to lose her. I’m so in awe of this series, Carissa Broadbent is one of my all time favourite authors! Tisannah’s and Max’s relationship lives forever in my heart, they are so perfect🫶🏻 this whole story is so dear to me, especially the plot twist that happens in book two ! When two more very important characters are introduced, you don’t know who to root for, the misunderstood morally grey “villian” or our leading couple. I havnt felt like this since reading Throne of Glass 🫶🏻 the characters, the plot, the deep thoughtful intricate feelings and morals of this story. It was gut wrenching , I couldn’t put this series down! I highly recommend if you are interested in high fae fantasy with original magic systems and a whirlwind romance. With the best morally grey “villian” I’ve ever read, the pov was sensational and I was on their side half the time. This trilogy really brought a new meaning to injustice, and vengeance. ✨Have you read this series ? #daughterofnoworlds #carissabroadbent #fantasybooks #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #booksbooksbooks #bookreview by @stephsbooktrove
Enjoying my ACOTAR reread 🫶🏻 Also trying to dodge these ACOSH spoilers like it’s my new job 😭 Have you finished ACOSH yet ?? 💕 #acotar #acosh #bookish #bookworm #booksbooksbooks by @stephsbooktrove
This >>> Just a fun post for today ! Which one do you relate to more ? I think someone not telling me to hurry up is a very important one for sure !! #bookstore #bookish #bookstagram #booklover #booksbooksbooks by @stephsbooktrove
Rereading books will always be superior 🤎🕯️ How fitting is it that the series that I’m choosing to end my year long book slump is also the series that made me fall in love with reading in the first place 🍂 My ACOTAR reaction after a year of not reading : I still giggled and kicked my feet in the air when Rhysand showed up ! I was reading between the lines and I could pin point all of tampons red flags. Now I can understand why people say feyre is an unreliable narrator, remembering facts from the other books and truly reading her POV in this one, something did change. Reading Nestas parts just made me love her and understand her all over again, especially when she revealed to feyre that she went to find her🤎 She truly gave main character energy from the beginning. Over all I still love this book as much as I did before🫶🏻 by @stephsbooktrove
Never been but I know my way around ✨ I’m really enjoying my reread! I think it’s fitting that after my year long reading slump that the series that gets me back into reading is the series that made me fall in love with it in the first place 🫶🏻 #acotar #prythian #nightcourt #sarahjmaas #acourtofthornsandroses by @stephsbooktrove
