Bodie State Historic Park was once home to nearly 10,000 people, making it one of California’s biggest gold-mining towns. At its peak in the late 1800s, Bodie was a booming, rough-and-tumble town with saloons, hotels, a red-light district, and even a Chinatown. Then the gold ran out, the people left, and Bodie was essentially frozen in time. 👻

So cool to see the school, old cars and stores where people once set up a life here. 🏫

Day 6

After getting rained out on Friday, we set up camp outside of Mammoth 🦣 and made dinner in the van, carried @olive.myboxer between the cars through the mud (see last slide) and @pshami kicked my ass in Farkle so we had some ground to make up on Saturday.

⭐️ Wild Willy’s Hot Spring (+gave some naked burners a ride)
