I'm here for two reasons 👇🏽 1. To make money and have the freedom to do the things I love. I want to spend the bulk of my life making new memories with my family, dancing bachata, and reclaiming my Latinidad as I raise a bilingual toddler. 2. To center and amplify the voices of Latinx, BIPOC, and Queer folks. Although I'm not a professional speaker by trade, I'm exceptionally good at attracting opportunities and reverse engineering how everything works. I want to teach you everything I know through both my free and paid content so that you can go all in on your SPEAKER ERA. All through my teens, the world told me I had to be loud and full of attitude in order to be Latina 🌶️ ...while also checking a million other boxes like being Colombiana, hella sexy, and with a thick accent And every time I had the stereotypes shoved in my face—in the media, tv shows, and magazines—it reinforced that maybe? Maybe I wasn't Latina enough (This is coming from an immigrant, who had a stronger accent at the time, and who was most definitely born and raised in Latinoamérica) The constant stereotypes (and people who couldn't understand where I was from) made me question my identity Until I said BASTA. Enough is enough. Now I'm in my mid-30's. Raising a bilingual toddler. And doing everything I can to reconnect to and reclaim my Latinidad. Porque si. Soy Latina carajo!! 🤭 Any other Latinas going through a similar journey of reclaiming their own Latinidad?? Follow @stephwharton_ and let's do this in comunidad 💖 by @stephwharton_

Right now my plate is pretty full as I celebrate HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH by amplifying the voices of speakers from our comunidad 🎉 Pero después?? I LOVE the idea of welcoming a new cohort of Latinas who are ready to get visible, grow their speaker brand, and attract really cool opportunities Although I have very little capacity as a toddler mama who works part-time hours, I am ready for the challenge—to grow my capacity while going all in on an OFF-THE-CUFF launch!!! Here's where I need your help 👇🏽 Once HHM wraps up, should I go all in on this launch right away on October 16th or wait until the 19th?? It starts at 6am every morning 😅 I experiment changing my tone. Slowing down on purpose. Pausing (instead of getting louder) whenever my son gets distracted. Reacting to what he's interested in instead of sticking to the script... (that last one takes skills jajajjajaja.) & Turns out that's pretty much what public speaking is all about. You could say I'm a pro—with almost 3 years of daily practice, speaking in front of an audience that's not afraid to hurt my feelings. 🤣 Now it's your turn to think outside the box Where are you already practicing your delivery without even realizing it?? & make sure you follow @stephwharton_ for more unhinged public speaking advice from a toddler mama and visibility coach who's building momentum in the margins of mamahood 🤭 by @stephwharton_
