One of the first things that struck me about the architecture of the city of Philadelphia was how the Benjamin Franklin Parkway literally connects our art to our governance from @philamuseumart to @philadelphiacityhall 🇺🇸
•
This idea was carried forward @ourkennedycenter inspired by JFK’s forward thinking - “This nation cannot be materially rich and spiritually poor.” 🇺🇸
•
Our home for dance and art can now too be a beacon of hope for the city of Philadelphia and our country as a whole. Within this new home we may pursue through art the ideas that truly make our country great - that all people are created equal and with that comes the freedom to pursue your best self within a gloriously diverse nation 🇺🇸
