Final Event of Monster 2026. I post this because the support this old man gets is amazing. I had to win this to make podium and they screamed at me for 6 minutes to not stop. CRAZY EYES had to come out. Excuse the slobber at the end. hahah. Those @coachmichaelmcelroy squats he made me do last off season paid off here. by @steselman
Off season is in full effect! 385 back squat felt smooth, next stop 405.#crossfit413 #crossfitmasters @coachmichaelmcelroy @mayhemathlete by @steselman
CrossFit 2026 Season is over and it was a mixed bag. Disappointed to miss the Games this year, but had a great experience at Legends Del Mar and at @1stphormmonstergames. Came from behind Sunday and got two event wins to squeak into the podium. Monster Games was 13 events with 9 scores. Iykyk the reason I say that. @crossfit413 and my people for the support this year and @coachmichaelmcelroy training fixed some pulling problems and we won the bar muscle up event! by @steselman
Had a blast fishing with Rexel this week. The time away was greatly appreciated but glad to be home! by @steselman
CrossFit Games 2025 is in the books! The leaderboard this year was rough on me and I struggled to deal with not scoring like I hoped, but we had a wonderful time in Columbus OH. I got to spend time with Steph and Sabastian. Wiley flew in and put up with all my doubting and whining. We only had on Top 10 this year, but we tried hard. Thank @stephselman for always being my biggest cheerleader, @crossfit413 and the 3pm boyz who grind with me, @sabastian_116 for the support! @mayhemperformancecoaching @coachmichaelmcelroy @mayhemathlete had me more prepared this year and I’m already focused on 2026 and what could be. by @steselman
Finished third after a rough start @1stphormmonstergames on day 1. Worked and got back on podium against tremendous competition that keeps getting younger. I excelled at things I suffered at last year thanks to @coachmichaelmcelroy and @mayhemperformancecoaching. Three weeks is the Games and I’m now mentally prepared to go! @mayhemathlete by @steselman
Friday @thecrossfitmayhem at Age Group prep Camp got all I had out of me. Feels unreal to be at Mayhem preparing for second trip to Games. Very thankful for @mayhemperformancecoaching for the attention to our groups, but more thankful to be involved with a group that is unashamed of their faith in Jesus Christ and their priorities. @coachmichaelmcelroy by @steselman
I wanted to take a moment and reflect and thank my crazy, wonderful tribe who has helped me get back to the Masters CrossFit Games this year. Being very transparent with you all, I was very nervous that it was by sheer luck and an act of God that i made it last year. I went to @mayhemperformancecoaching and @coachmichaelmcelroy for performace coaching this year, and it has paid off. Brock and i went to Mayhem for semis in person this year and it was a dream come true. I have wonderful people around me who speak life into me and we to each other. I thank my wife, @stephselman above all else for the countless times she gives up her time to follow me around the country. My 230/330 workout crew Wiley Sanders, Zach Smith, Nick Bertin, Brad Becker, Alex Moody, Brock Stepp, CrossFit413. You are all loved and i am humbled you do these things with my old butt. They put up with the crazy workouts and the volume from Mike McElory. The goal this year is to move into top 10, let’s just finish. #crossfitmasters50to54 by @steselman
Open is complete and goals met. Onto semis. by @steselman

@herculusmedia dropped my videos to me this week and i love them. They made an old man look like he was getting work done. by @steselman
It’s Daughter Day I guess so it’s my chance to brag on Savannah Selman I want to say how proud we are of Sav in her new teaching role. She’s had several peers, and even her UCA professor who watched her teach one day last week, say they can’t believe she’s just a first year teacher. She’s had multiple kind notes from her students, parents, and words of encouragement from fellow teachers. Today she had a sub for part of the morning, while she participated in some training and came back to her class clapping and cheering when she walked back in the room! At “See You at the Pole,” she was able to pray with a group of students. I love that she has trusted God to see her through to where she is clearly called to be. by @steselman
