Hi there, Hatters! This Friday, October 2nd at 10 A.M., there will be a Boren Awards cultural credit event held in the Language Lab! During this event, a Boren Award representative will be present to answer any and all questions students may have about what this organization has to offer. The awards are especially relevant to students interested in language, national security, and traveling overseas. See you there! by @stetsonhonors

Today, we are spotlighting an alumni from the Class of 2023. Shadia was accepted for her Masters in Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School.

Shadia said that, "Now more than ever, I believe it’s important to cultivate leaders who are dedicated to making a positive impact. I’m excited to learn from a community of people who embody that mission, and to take on the opportunities this next chapter will bring."

Meet Levi Cheptoyek, a First Year majoring in Computer Science. Levi serves as the First Year Representative on the Honors Student Council. On campus, Levi is involved in the Bonner Program, is a ColorStack Member, involved in the African Student Union, and works as an IT Intern & Administrative Support at Rising Against All Odd.

Levi is serving on HSC to “foster an inclusive and intellectually stimulating environment within the Honors Program. As First-Year Representative, I aim to ensure that honors students voices are heard and help build a strong sense of community among Honors students.”

If Levi had any advice for Honors Hatters it would be to, “Embrace challenges and seek growth in every opportunity. Engage deeply with your studies, collaborate with peers, and take advantage of the diverse perspectives within the Honors Program. Never be afraid to ask for help; your community is here to support you!” by @stetsonhonors
