Rest in peace dear Bramble. You packed a heap of fun into your short life and gave us so many wonderful memories. We love you dearly and you will always be in our hearts.

Back home for Father’s Day. 11 miles easy run to Chipping this morning, taking in the beautiful scenery around the Longridge Fells stretching out to the sea at Blackpool. by @stevea968

Tidying up the office this morning, I found a box of old cycling stuff. Can you spot me in the Venta team photo? Well, at least my hair was Tour de France ready even if my legs weren’t! 😂 Couple of old race programmes from back in the day too. by @stevea968

South Downs Way Relay is a gold ribbon event for Phoenix. 6 runners per team, 3 legs each covering a total 100 miles of hilly trails. I’ve driven team minibuses a couple of times and ridden my bike out to Harting to watch most other years, but this - my 10th year in Phoenix - was my 1st time running. The weather was apocalyptic at times with a strong headwind and lashing rain. My fave road shoes were great for leg 4 but sadly got destroyed in the sticky chalky mud of leg 9 😭RIP my old chums 👟👟🪦
Thank goodness I had by trail shoes for muddy leg 16, helping me confidently weave through a herd of mildly irritated cows.
With a staggered start you’re never sure if you’re leading, so it was fantastic to get the vets win confirmed at the finish. And by some freak meteorological miracle we finished 6 mins faster than our winning vets team last year. The difference wasn’t down to me, I might add!!
What a brilliant day 🙌🙌👊 and a brilliant club:

@vlmvmusic (Alma) was absolutely stunning in Brighton tonight. Looking forward to the new album next month but, in the meantime, I’ll continue listening to - and urge everyone else to listen to - the 1st 2 albums: Sing With Abandon and Stranded Not Lost. Phenomenal. Tonight also reinforced my opinion, after seeing @dearyband there, that @alphabetbrighton has the best live acoustics in Brighton 🎶👌 by @stevea968

FNUL / Friday Night Under The Lights 5 mile race last night. Just made the cut for the crazy fast sub-29 race & happy to run 28:24 gun time (28:20 line to line). 1st M55 & I didn’t come last or get lapped! 🥳
3:35 slower than I was 37 years ago, the last time I raced over 5 miles! Scroll to see a photo of me in that race 🧒🏻➡️👴🏻😂 by @stevea968

It’s been too long since I last rode with these guys. And I didn’t ride with them today either 😂 ☔️ but I did meet up with them at the pub! Some classy bike riders sat at that table 👌🤩 by @stevea968
