I had planned a PB today but I definitely didn’t expect to hit it at Hove Park on such a gusty day. Absolutely chuffed to have ticked off sub 19, even better to share the run with such a great group. Another fun race day. Sussex county championships cross country relays. M50 champions 🥇🥇🥇🥇 Massive runs from my team mates, Adrian Haines gave us the lead after leg 1, Mark Halls consolidated it, Terry Westley - in his 1st cross country race - kept us in touch with Brighton & Hove, making my job on last leg a bit easier. Every second counted on every leg 👊

Our Top 4 Tips for Running in the Rain 1. Rain Jacket: When the clouds turn grey, there are running jackets that provide you with water-proofing or wind-proofing. Your jacket needs to keep the rain and wind out so look for a good waterproof running jacket that will optimise your performance so you feel faster and still have ventilation to keep it breathable and lightweight 2. Be Visible: Choose outer layers that are very bright and have are reflective. Running in the rain often means drivers have poor visibility. Therefore, investing in the right (bright) running clothes you will reflect when car lights hit them and will be more visible. 3. Socks: Choosing the right sock is just as important as not overdressing when running in the rain. And remember! Bring an extra pair just in case. 4. Watch Your Step: Most importantly, pay attention.
