When you wake up in the morning and the sun is shining and the sky is blue you know you're finally in the Florida Keys.

We were staying in a little private resort on Duck Key and it was absolutely beautiful.

Slightly disconcerting to share the lawns and pool area with the local wildlife though 😯🫣🦎🦎

What a magical way to celebrate your 69th Birthday by hiring a private boat to navigate the backwaters of the Keys.

"Living Life with Larry", Larry being our skipper for the day and what a great guy, nothing too much trouble, took us anywhere we wanted.

We went swimming and paddling on sandbanks and snorkeling in the sea for lobster and turtles.

Watching the dolphins play around the boat and finally a bucket list item, seeing a wild Manatee 🫶❤️

Birthdays and boats are becoming a regular habit 👌🌅😎

After a night and morning in Palm Beach it was down Route 1 to Duck Key which would be our home for the next 6 days.

The Bentley's had rented a beautiful house which would be our base for the rest of our Florida Adventure.

The weather too had improved since leaving Orlando with evening temperatures still in the high 70's...........bring on the sunshine 🌅😎

After a wonderful few days in Disney Springs Orlando we made our way South for an overnight stay in Palm Beach as we continued our road trip to the Keys.

The weather was a bit suspect at times but it didn't stop us getting onto the beach and it was still very warm.

We also drove along the beach front where homes can cost between $30 - $50 million 😳😯🫣

Birthday celebrations for me at The Boathouse at Disney Springs.

What an amazing place to eat and spend a memorable evening with great friends.

We got a table outside on the board walk with wonderful views of the lake courtesy of Lauren our incredible table host.

An evening down at Disney Springs in Orlando and dinner at The House of Blues.

It's a fabulous place to visit when the sun goes down, a Disney for grown ups 🫶🕺🥂

Then the following day we went to a wonderfully titled place called "Celebration" for a mooch around and a spot of lunch at a fabulous hotel.
The sign was a little worrying though 😳😯🐊🐍

Met up with our Road Trip Buddies, Paul, Fran & Adam and while the ladies went shopping the boys mooched around the biggest collection of Automobiles I've ever seen at Dezerland.
Apparently they have over 4000 cars, motorcycles, and just about every other motorised vehicle you could imagine.

We've just had the most amazing trip to Florida. Flew into Orlando and stayed at the Wyndham Gardens hotel at Buena Vista.

Then we spent the next day in Disney Springs which was a 15 minute walk away, a brilliant theme park for "Grown Ups" 👌

Our adventure would really start the following day when we met up with our Road Trip Adventure Buddies, Paul, Fran & Adam 🫶🌅

Took a drive up to OPC Sheffield for the Steel City Porsche cars and coffee on Sunday with @duncandisorderly99

It was great to see so many other marques there and not just Porsche which demonstrates just how inclusive these meetings are.

I've seen most of the Pink Floyd tribute bands over the years but these guys @thinkfloyduk are up there with the very best 👌

They played the full DSOTM and WYWH albums along with tracks from Meddle, The Wall and several other stuff.

Great musicians keeping the music of Pink Floyd alive and authentic.

Watch out for their 2027 Tour 🫶
