How does it work if you are interested in God, but aren’t too sure about Church or don’t even particularly like Christians?

@stevefosterldn explains how an inconvenient request to serve coffee at church had a far deeper impact on him than he’d ever have imagined.

The start of 2026 might be a great moment to try going to Church, whether for the very first time — or to give it another go after some time away.

Stephen Foster is married to Beth and together they have four young daughters. Stephen originally worked as barrister before becoming a vicar. Today he leads @staldatesoxford church.

You are ποίημα - meaning you are God’s handiwork, crafted by the Creator of the universe.

Next time you feel a little purposeless, ask God to show you what He sees, that you don’t. 🪡

‘How can you say ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye?’

Your likelihood of judging other people often increases as your competence to judge decreases. Jesus invites us to live differently. To be slower to judge, quicker to extend grace, and more intentional about loving those around us.

The Bible is Back! The growing interest in and reading of the Bible is fascinating — evidenced in surveys; popular culture; news articles, over 1.15 Billion downloads of the YouVersion Bible App, and the inescapable commercial reality of exponential paper Bible sales! 🤯

As Peter said to Jesus: ‘Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.’ 🗣️

These are the words of eternal life - and we must pray for the many, many people reading them for the very first time, or the first time in a long time, right now. That they would encounter God through his Living Word! 🙏 by @stevefosterldn

Fascinating article in the The Times on just how significant the shift has been in football — with the growth of Christian footballers — praying, reading the Bible and being open about their faith! 🙌

We must pray for all those bearing witness to Jesus in the football community - and for many to be curious about faith through their example 🙏

And cheering on @ballersingod @johnjbostock and @bridgethegapfootball and @tristan_lury 👏 by @stevefosterldn

This is a fascinating viral interaction with the Grok AI platform on Twitter/X yesterday! 🤯

Right now people are using AI for all sorts of spiritual and existential questions — and both the ongoing design and value underpinnings of the models are highly significant — we must pray! 🙏

And if you have questions about life, faith and meaning — and who is Jesus — do try an Alpha course! Tens of thousands of courses are staring right now around the world! ❓ by @stevefosterldn

‘You are the salt of the earth’ 🧂🌍

What if God has positioned you to encourage the good and resist the bad?

Salt has influence because it is distinct from that to which it is applied.

And you don’t need much salt to make a difference - just a little will do! by @stevefosterldn
