Working on the W.I.P. lately.

Since I’m retrofitting the Celica ZZT231 sports M “Sports ABS” into the Rolla, the first line of business is mounting the ABS pump. This part is what the US models came equipped with. I got lucky…Toyota didn’t change much other than the ECU, in addition to adding a yaw rate sensor.

Waiting on some wiring and the correct prop valve (actually a brake union) from an Avalon of all cars, lol.

Why? Well, why not…. Jk. it’s a more track-tailored ABS and also adds EBD (basically a digital proportioning valve) that controls pressure front and rear, also left and right. Since we all love soaking in JDM golden era info, Best Motoring loved this abs for the time. But I won’t know how it works until it’s all set up. by @stillrolla

Sorry, no new updates. It’s been a little busy, so the car hasn’t had anything cool done lately. I thinkkkk that will be changing soon. Hopefully, I’ll get some seat time before the end of the year. Until then, I have a solid list of projects to finalize and test. Ask @craig_s_s how much this list grows.

- Swap out the Yaris EPAS to the GRC EPAS (no reason just want to try something newer than the Yaris)
- Finalize super-strut rebuild kit( this took way to long but most of the cad work is done) tooo much 3D scanning
- Install Celica sports M “Sports Abs (cheapest racing spec abs from factory,And it adds EBD. I wont know if it’s worth it until i try it) but all the parts cost 100.00

Back on track with @topak_racing_events . It felt good, but not in this stock Corolla with gobs of body roll and 300 treadwear tires. Aside from that, we made do and just had fun. @nathaniel_silva finally came outside to touch grass🤣, while the crew over at @eastside_muffler knocked out some amazing track prep.

All of that being said, maybe it’s time for some more track days…. Maybe @technocraft_ta 🤔 by @stillrolla

Pretty cool to find out Toyota offered a “Sports ABS” for the 7th GEN Celica. The TRD Sports M and the SS-II Super strut package only had this installed since it was geared for “circuit driving”. Doing a deep dive, it also included (EBD) a digital prop valve. So if you pick up one of those JDM imports, aim for the TRD SPORTS M or SUPERSTRUT PACKAGE. The “Sports ABS” has some pretty good praise in the JZ80 and SW20.hmm 🤔 by @stillrolla
