I’ve had this quilt waiting for binding for about 8 years. 🤦🏼‍♀️ It’s so fun to finally have it finished. A little road trip binding.

After 7+ years of not sewing I wondered if I would even remember how to do it. Luckily it’s like riding a bike and I was able to pick up where I left off.

This quilt has been waiting to be bound for probably 8+ years. 🥲 I forgot how cute this mini scallop fabric is. 😍

It feels good to be creating again. I’ve missed it! 🥰

For the star block you’re going to be sewing four star blocks together. To make the star block you need 4-3”x3” blue pieces, 4-2.5”x2.5” pieces, 1-2.5”x2.5” white piece, and 4-3”x3”white pieces. The 3” blue and white pieces you’ll make half square triangles to create the point of the star. Trim to 2.5” once you have four star blocks sewn together you’ll see them all together to create a 12.5” block. Each individual star block should be 6.5”unfinished. #flagdayquilt by @stitchingrevival

The stripe block has 3 red strips and 3 white strips. Each strip measures at 12.5” long and 2.5” wide. Sew the red and white strips together alternating colors. #flagdayquilt by @stitchingrevival

Ok guys here’s the first part of the info for the #flagdayquilt
Mine has 15 stripes blocks and 15 stars blocks 5x6 and each block is 12.5” unfinished ***take note that when I assembled the quilt I alternated the direction of the stripes on each row*** by @stitchingrevival
