65’ STOL Takeoff?! | 1954 PA18 Piper Super Cub at the @flysnf @stol.flysnf STOL Demos!

@ryan_melendez2 makes this take off in “Goldie”, his classic 1954 Piper PA-18 Super Cub look effortless.

“Goldie” is much more than a beautiful Super Cub. 💛

Goldie is at the heart of @warriors_with_wings , a mission inspired by Ryan’s own journey battling cancer. Ryan first knew Goldie as a banner-tow airplane that he regularly flew while building flight time. Those hours and his dedication eventually helped open the door to his first job as a regional airline pilot, and today Ryan flies for a legacy carrier.

Years later, Ryan had the opportunity to reunite with the old banner-tow Cub and chose to dedicate Goldie to inspiring kids and young adults going through their own journeys with cancer.

The message behind Goldie is simple and powerful: cancer doesn’t have to be the end of the road. There are still dreams to chase, horizons to explore, and endless possibilities beyond the clouds.

Pretty incredible mission for a pretty incredible airplane. 💛✈️
