Did some art for the Holland Area Arts Council Small Works Show with my nieces. They rocked it! Lily sold hers on the first night (the duckling) Layla did the lemons and I did the paper mache cassette. #hollandareaartscouncil by @stoll.shell

Over the weekend Zack was here doing garden stuff with me and we took the traditional pic of him in front of his tree. We got to talking that it would be fun to find all the other pictures to see the growth progression. I found all that could. The story goes...there are so many maple trees around the house and every year it's a helicopter party! One year he just had to keep one of the seedlings. So we had it in a pot for a few years and it didn't die! So we put it in the ground around 2012. I always thought I would take the tree with me whenever I moved but I think it's gonna be too late now! lol 2011 no tree yet, planting grass where a playground set used to be by @stoll.shell

This illustration was the first of this digital style. I didn't do a sketch first, I drew the black lines in Illustrator and brought it in Photoshop discovering the rough eraser tool. There was just something satisfying about erasing the negative spaces instead of drawing. by @stoll.shell

Digging through older art again. Found this one, I created it for Illustration Friday in 2011. Don't even remember the word they suggested. Maybe it was awkward lol. Back then I was really into the 1920s and scribbling. by @stoll.shell

Digital art from 10 years ago! I loved it when I created it, especially the light on the curtain and the dust in the air. There is something so magical about light. Also added the rough sketch. I love seeing other artists rough work. by @stoll.shell
