I hate doing life alone and now without you, I don’t know how I’ll do it.

My heart is forever shattered and empty. 13 years of loving you, road trips, moving to 7 states together….

You were there thru road trips, breakups, changes of jobs, every moment in my life. I’m so glad I got to bring you back to California one last time.

Turns out, I really like hanging out with me. 💁🏼‍♀️

One thing I’ve been learning lately is to stop waiting.

Stop waiting for someone to be free.
Stop waiting for someone to make the plans.
Stop waiting for an invitation.
Stop waiting for the “right” reason to wear the outfit.

Make the reservation. Buy the ticket. Get dressed up. Take yourself somewhere you’ve been wanting to go.

Tonight, I’m taking myself to a comedy show because keeping dates with myself has become one of my favorite things. 💃🏼

There’s something pretty damn empowering about realizing you can create your own fun, your own adventures and your own really good days.

I’m learning who I am again. What I like. What makes me laugh. What makes me feel confident. What makes me feel like me.

So go alone. Be a little weird. Talk to strangers. Order dessert. Wear the outfit. Laugh too loud. Change your plans halfway through.

Get really comfortable with your own company.

Because finding yourself isn’t always some huge life-changing moment.

🥾 TRAIL REVIEW: La Tuna Canyon

First things first: GO COUNTERCLOCKWISE. That’s the workout. That’s the move. That’s also apparently how you find out what you’re made of. 😂

1.5 miles basically straight uphill.
1,400 ft of elevation gain.
4 FALSE SUMMITS that personally offended me.
And approximately 37 moments of questioning every life choice that led me here.

BUT THEN… you make it to the top. 🙌

✨ Gorgeous views
✨ A swing waiting for you
✨ That “okay fine, this was worth it” feeling
✨ And the realization that now you still have to get back down

Difficulty: Spicy 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Views: 10/10
False summit betrayal: 12/10
Would I do it again? Unfortunately, yes.

Plot twist: the fitness era is becoming official. 💪🔥

The last two months have been all about choosing me again, my health, my happiness, my strength, and finding my way back to something I’ve always loved: FITNESS.

Whether I’m sweating it out at Barry’s, attempting to look graceful in Pilates, melting in heated yoga, or getting back out on the trails, moving my body has become one of my favorite ways to show up for myself.

And now… I’m officially working toward my Personal Trainer Certification! 🎉

Fitness isn’t exactly new territory for me. I spent two years as a CrossFit Level 2 trainer, held my Olympic weightlifting certification for years, and somewhere along the way stepped away from that side of my life.

Wellllll… she’s back. 😏

Losing Charlie changed a lot for me, and since then I’ve made a promise to put some of the love and energy I give everyone else back into myself.

So here’s to learning more, getting stronger, trying ALL the classes, finding new adventures, and seeing where this next chapter takes me.

50 classes in 105 days. 💪

Not every day was easy. There were highs, lows, long days, and the heartbreak of losing @charliebstombs . 🐾❤️

But one thing stayed consistent: I showed up for myself.

Some workouts were strong, some were simply about getting through the door, but they all counted. Grateful for every class, every coach (esp @terrafrye__ , @jon_herrmann and @erikchasesteffens - who put up with me for about 90% of these 50 classes)

It’s a reminder that progress isn’t perfection, it’s showing up, especially when it’s hard.
