Not she clapped for herself when we told her that’s enough 😂

Legacy’s doesn’t hear “no” or “stop” excessively. Shes learning and evolving everyday. She needs to interact with things to learn what they are, what they do — feel different textures, etc. We make her aware of dangers and set boundaries around her exploring, but for the most part? We’re on her time.

She’s new here. Might as well use as much free will as you can before people start putting expectations on you lol

Legacy’s learning spaces have always been intentional. She has multiple to keep her focus on what it should be for that particular space. These posters are supporting characters as PLAY is her primary source of learning. Immersion, repetition, and copying!

I’d like to think that our first airport experience as a family was pretty ideal. We were thorough and Legacy was happy to be there. We strongly believe in exposing children to different environments — that’s how they learn. It’s always weird to me when parents expect their children to behave in public when 1. They don’t go in public, and 2. They don’t have expectations for them at home.

Toddlers yell and squeal when they’re excited and there was another passenger in front is us that kept making kissy faces at here and I’m like girl… let my baby chill 😂

A little of our travel checklist

- mini diaper / wipe caddy for easy changes
- Headphones
- Activity book
- White noise
- Mobile high chair (primarily for restaurants)
- lots of books

I’m still convincing my husband to invest in that airport stroller, whew 😍

SN: she was 11 months here. She’s currently 13 months.

It’s well known that Legacy is the most adventurous of them all. She’s small and mighty + this little girl LOVES a trampoline park. For the day of her first birthday, we gathered some of her aunts, uncles, and cousins and went to @uakennesaw Legacy had a BLAST

We loved how there is a designated area for toddlers; she thinks she’s a big kid, but that being there as an option is so helpful. This will be our summer go to, there’s SO much to do at this location for all ages.

You are perfection, in every interpretation of the word. Spunky, fun, full of personality. This one is a true combination of her parents and while we will most DEFINITELY have our hands full, she will change and run the world 🌍

Watching you become independent, be fearless, and bloom into your personality is confirmation that we’re doing the right things as your parents. We’ll always be here to love, guide, and protect you. At the same time, we will let you soar and thrive.

Becoming parents, we’ve learned what all the hype is about and there are no lengths we wouldn’t go for our Ladybug. So yall better stay outta her way because mama and daddy are 100 toes down and disturbing her peace about her 😘

No such thing as rain on our parade! Teething hit our girl hard this morning on the way to her outing, so we had to retreat!

We got her taken care of, a great nap, and now we’re using our free will to push her walker up and down the driveway 🤏🏾

She’s still having fun, being creative, discovering her capabilities, and moving her body.

Also, there is a heavy debate about Walkers and which ones really aid in your child’s development. Yall know me, the first thing I’m going to tell you to do is whatever YOU want to do. Second, you know what your values are. She’s never had the sit in one, only this one and it’s going great. She figured it out lol. I do wish it had a stop option, but it does have a slow down option

Another Tuesday afternoon adventure. We wanted to see Michael so we said, let’s just take our baby! lol. We went through all the different scenarios of how it could go and decided to buy three seats on the end of an aisle and not be close to others; just in case.

Legacy is used to being on field trips, going to restaurants, and things like that, so we went in pretty confident (but prepared for however it could go) I’m very proud of her. It was fun.

It blew us when that fire alarm went off AGAIN. We really wanted to finish this movie but we weren’t about to re-settle in. It’s just too much

We just love her little life! Legacy visited the Atlanta zoo for the first time during their members only event this weekend 🦍

Our girl had a blast and played herself right on to sleep. Though young, she is so engaged and excited. Our job is to expose and teach her and we’ll be doing just that; heavily through active learning. We are a field trip household, haha

This is your sign to take the kids there. Wherever and let them learn, explore, grow. Expose them!

P.S Did she shew that little boy away from brushing the goat?! 😂
