It’s been the most magical month of our lives. On June 19th, we welcomed our babygirl, Legacy. Our sweet ladybug 🐞 She’s truly been our greatest gift and we are so grateful to be her parents; to the able to raise the GREATEST 🥇

Childbirth is a miracle and we’re so blessed to have been able to do it our way, together 🙏🏾

My sweet girls 💕 due date is TOMORROW, yall. Ms. Legacy has gone all 40 of her weeks hunny and the eviction notice has been in 😂 there are SIGNS, signs that she is headed out, but she’s on her own time.

Next time, yall better be clearer 😂 I thought we were talkin toe taps, greenbay kinda style 😂

So far, we’ve been taking our birth prep, primrose oil, okra water, a little dates, seggs of course, and moving the body. Nothing has “sent me” into labor, obviously lol, but the point of all of these things are to soften my cervix and help prepare my uterus in hopes of a nice smooth and quick labor. We won’t know til we know, so I’ll keep being vigilant.

Oh!! I’ve been “dry pumping” too. Collecting colostrum for my girl for her first few days out until my milk drops. I’ve noticed that this makes me contract a bit too.

This home and pool birth will be a breeze. I was made for this (this is me hyping myself up 🥲)

Whew! “Big T” is pretty literal these days 😂🤏🏾 But I’m grateful for a body that moves like it does while I grow my sweet girl 🌸

I am 38 weeks and 5 days. Babygirl could come at any moment. While I’ve been doing all the “things” to encourage her to come, I’ve also been focused on just being a healthy rested mama for her. A light weight, but intentional day in the gym.

Fitness has remained on the forefront my entire pregnancy! Lifting, walking, etc. But HUNNY, ya girl is H E A V Y these days 🥲 so I’ve just been doing what my body feels like doing these past few weeks. They say “this is your time to rest” sure, but I also love and respect a good routine so in preparation for my sweet Legacy’s arrival, we’re turning the intentionality back up a bit.

One thing the people have come with is alot of unsolicited advice lol. Especially about my workout routine and it’s sooooo exhausting. Like do what’s best for you and your body. Mamas are capable of doing whatever they were doing BEFORE pregnancy, so don’t let these folx cramp your style or tell you what’s best for you 🤷🏽‍♀️
