POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The foxes begged me to "sprinkle some sauce" on their intro theme music and give you all a bit more background about why they came to London. They tried to serve their local Hunt with an ASBO and get them charged for harassment, but it didn't go down too well and they had to flee to the relative safety of London! They couldn't be happier! 🦊🦊 #livingthedream #foxrap #issarap #london #fox #urban #themesong #stopmotion #stopmotionanimation #characterdesign #props #westhampark #buckinghampalace #home #immigrants #film #stopmotionstudio #bandlab #asharmaymitchellproduction by @stopitsharmay

This upgrade/ makeover was requested by Red Fox, himself. He saw an old reel from elsewhere and wanted to recreate it so 🤷🏾‍♀️

A statement from The Foxes on their inclusion in the art exhibition, Exploring Grief and Loss Through Art at Willesden Gallery within Willesden Library:

"After much cajoling, the great manipulator (Sharmay) submitted our work for entry to an art exhibition exploring grief and loss and here we are @willesden_gallery until 23rd February.

We'd like to thank the hunt for chasing us out of the countryside as, without their hostility and hatred for our existence, we'd never have made it to London to become the vulpine thespians you see today.

Thank you to my loving mate - the vixen of my dreams and my cubs, who inspired the genuine, heartfelt, emotional upheaval you see in 'She Left Me'.

Orange Fox and I would like to thank the human curator, Nadia Nervo, for her impeccable taste in selecting our film.

And finally, we pay homage to our ancestors, the urban foxes that came before us, who didn't have the opportunity to share the intricacies of their lives, but whose tenacity of spirit lives on within us.

May we continue to create great work."

THE FOXES ARE BACK IN THE PUBLIC EYE

This time they'll be part of an exhibition on grief and loss

Willesden Gallery in Willesden Green Library

17th Jan - 23rd Feb 2024

Go see them!

They're not so thrilled to be sharing the space but I've got them more exposure, which is what they've been nagging about since forever.

In this world where dreams manifest, some TV producer will see them and want to commission a series about them. 🦊🦊

**EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT**
The Foxes will be on display early next year in a public place in London.
More details to come.

Red Fox is currently quite nonchalant about it because he reckons I haven't been trying hard enough to get them noticed!

With summer arriving late this year, the foxes thought they'd escaped the hellish temperatures endured in 2022, but this week, our drama queen, Red Fox feels like he's boiling in Satan's bath water and he wants everyone to know temperatures have exceeded 30 degrees in London.

He has asked for your donations of portable neck fans, you know the ones that look like headphones, specifically because foxes can't walk and use the hand-held fans and his den is not fitted with an air conditioning unit!

Ps. I've lost my voice, but I think this turned out okay!

There has never been a box that my mind has ever willingly agreed to fit into! Variety is the spice of my life.

Aside from stop motion, I write in my spare time. I have plans to write and publish lots of VERY different books from poetry to non fiction to children's picture books to adult sci-fi/ apocalyptic novels. You can follow my writing/ author journey @sharmaymitchell

I still have boundless ideas for stop motion videos. Just waiting for an opportunity when I have more time. by @stopitsharmay
