On the morning of September 11, 2001, 22-year-old Paul Battaglia left for work at Marsh & McLennan in the World Trade Center. At the time, he lived with his parents Elaine and John Leinung in Brooklyn, New York. That morning would be the last time his family saw him.

John and Elaine recorded a remembrance of Paul for StoryCorps’ September 11th Initiative. Honor their story in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
