🚨 NEW SALAD ALERT🚨

Even though I could literally eat fistfuls of this @switchgearsfarm bloomsdale spinach on its own, I’m guessing that that doesn’t constitute a salad. So! We gussied it up with some brown butter Dijon vinaigrette, marinated beets @monroefamilyfarms castelvetrano olives, oranges and pistachios! Come eat a plate of fall!!

Ps. Smoked whitefish is also a very very good idea. by @stowawaydnvr

I remember reading Alice Waters’ book, ‘Coming to My Senses’ on the plane ride stateside after living abroad for nearly a decade. Newly intertwined with a kiwi husband and a dream to create our own little cafe, still wet behind the ears. This book gave me the courage to delve into a world that I had no solid foundation in. Only a passion for food and community. Alice not only showed me it could be done, but also taught me that genuine creativity often emerges from not having a blueprint to follow.

I had the good fortune of meeting @alicelouisewaters a few years ago at a @slowfooddenver event (thank you @caroglover8 💗) and her passion for food justice inspired me all over again. This industry is for dreamers and lovers. ✌️❤️🌈 by @stowawaydnvr

We’re building a movement to stand up for our workers — and we’re not waiting for anyone else to do it.

We are our own lobbyists.

Denver City Council is considering lowering wages for tipped workers — some of the lowest-paid workers in our city. This would have real consequences for workers and small, independent businesses, while giving an advantage to large corporate groups.

We strongly oppose any reduction in wages.

Mushrooms are back on the menu! @jfs_altiusfarms has been growing some fungi and we’re here for it! Got some new things coming your way this month! First in line is our newest cruciferous forward salad with roast broccoli, greens, watermelon radish, pickled edamame, aonori salted sunflower seeds and charred scallion chili crunch dressing.
