What does additive manufacturing look like when it is embedded in production?

General Motors is using additive manufacturing across its manufacturing network to help teams solve day-to-day challenges in production tooling, quality, safety and ergonomics - with measurable results.

At one GM plant, additive manufacturing delivered approximately $1.4 million in savings in a year. At another, two 3D printers generated more than $1.1 million in cost savings in five months.

The F870 is here.

We designed it for one thing: helping manufacturers produce tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing aids on the factory floor — faster, lighter, and at lower cost than conventional methods.

The longest fully heated build chamber in its class. 1000 × 610 × 610 mm (39.4 x 24 x 24 in.). Industrial-grade materials including Nylon 12CF. Built for the kind of work that used to mean weeks of machining lead time and a call to an outside vendor.

Beta systems are already being evaluated by @toyota and @rivianofficial for production-support applications.

This isn’t a prototyping machine. It’s a manufacturing tool.

Our 2026 Stratasys Summer Camp brought together 200 incredible kids for a week filled with creativity, adventure, laughter, and new friendships. From fun hands-on activities to unforgettable moments, it was a week to remember.
This annual tradition is one of the many ways we bring our People First culture to life, creating experiences that extend beyond the workplace and support our employees and their families.

Preparing the next generation of the manufacturing workforce has never been more important.
As additive manufacturing continues to transform production, the need to upskill and reskill the manufacturing workforce is one of our industry's greatest opportunities and responsibilities. That starts with giving students meaningful, hands-on experiences that connect classroom learning with real-world manufacturing.

We're proud to support that mission through our long-standing collaboration with SME and SkillsUSA. This year's SkillsUSA Additive Manufacturing Competition brought together 51 teams to solve an industry-inspired challenge, helping students build the technical skills and problem-solving mindset they will carry into tomorrow's workforce.

A special thank you to Chris Wier of Stratasys, who developed and led this year's competition, creating an experience that reflects the realities of modern manufacturing.
