@askizzyau is a life-saving platform that connects Australians experiencing or at risk of homelessness with the right support services for them.

Since its foundation in 2016, Ask Izzy has helped connect millions of people to over 500,000 organisations, including many that StreetSmart partners with. However, recent government funding cuts have put the service’s future at risk.

We know firsthand the importance of accessing homelessness support services, and we’re proud to join over 100 organisations endorsing Ask Izzy’s call for continued funding.

Ali and his mum are waiting for a home.

Six-year-old Ali and his mum fled an unsafe home with limited English and no local support network.

After moving between couches and floors and missing school, they are now living in temporary motel accommodation.

It has given them somewhere safe to stop, but it isn’t home.

Practical support with moving costs, bond and basic furniture could help them take the next step into a stable home of their own.

A safe place to stop is important. But everyone deserves somewhere they can call home. MISSING supports the grassroots organisations helping people take that next step.

Today we recognise World Homeless Day 🏠

Observed internationally on 10th October, World Homeless Day is an opportunity to raise awareness about the needs of people who currently experience homelessness and recognise the local organisations working to create change in their communities.

Every day, we are proud to support over 1,200 local community organisations across Australia, helping grassroots services prevent homelessness and support people when they need it most.

StreetSmart Grant for Rising Fuel Costs

We just had to share this again it is such good news!
We have successfully received a grant from @streetsmartaust for grassroots organisations across Australia, helping frontline services respond to the combined pressures of rising fuel and living costs. Thank you StreetSmart and everyone who generously engaged with this grant.

Fuel for Wheels of Wellness is part of our everyday business. Our team are out there, driving to outreach locations, meeting people where they are at. Our 3 outreach vehicles are often out and about bringing healthcare to our Cairns homeless community, helping them access healthcare their way.

Thank you @streetsmartaust for helping us help our clients receive healthcare where they’re at, their way.

Malia found the support to move forward.

When Malia arrived in Australia seeking asylum, she had no income or secure housing and was living under constant threat of eviction.

Connecting with House of Welcome changed what was possible.

Safe accommodation and wraparound support gave Malia the stability to complete a paid traineeship and find work in construction.

Her story shows what can happen when people who fall through the gaps are given the housing, support and opportunity to build a life of their own.

Through MISSING, StreetSmart is supporting grassroots organisations working to reach people experiencing homelessness who may otherwise be less visible.

This beach towel sold out for a reason last year. Now it's back again in a new design, with the same purpose.

For every SleepSafe towel purchased, we’ll provide a sleep kit including a towel, fitted sheet, flat sheet, and pillowcase to

This year, we’re celebrating some very special 10-year milestones in the CafeSmart community!

Three different CafeSmart journeys, with one thing in common: coming together to raise awareness for homelessness and support communities year after year.

A huge thank you to Barista’s Choice VitaSoy, Single O and Told You So for being such an important part of the CafeSmart story. Here’s to the next chapter! 💛☕️

🤝 We’re celebrating 10 years with our wonderful partners at @baristas_choice_vitasoy_aus_nz. This year, their team helped pack almost 500 promotional packs for CafeSmart Day, put together our new bunting and supported the campaign with their matched funding campaign.

☕️ For 10+ years, @single_o has been bringing cafes from their network along for CafeSmart, helping grow the campaign from the early days. Known for bringing plenty of fun, fabulous dress-ups and great photos, Single O has raised more than $26,000 through donations, making a lasting contribution to the campaign and the grassroots organizations it supports.

💛 @_toldyouso is also celebrating a decade of making a difference with CafeSmart. For 10 years they have bought their fundraising efforts, big personalities and plenty of energy, now raising almost $20,000! by @streetsmartaust

This year, 555 cafés and 55 roasters came together to raise more than $150,000 and counting for people experiencing homelessness, and now it's time to celebrate some of the incredible cafés and roasters who went above and beyond.

From our Top Roaster Champions and National Top Fundraisers, to our Top New Cafés and Photo Competition winners, we're shining a light on the people who brought the energy, creativity and community spirit to this year's campaign.

A special thank you to @coffeetoolsdist for providing this year's Top Fundraiser prize and supporting the cafés who went above and beyond for CafeSmart.

And a huge congratulations to all of our 2026 Industry Award winners!

Our latest grants are here, and this is our largest grants round in more than two years 💚

Thanks to everyone who supported our Care in a Crisis EOFY appeal, StreetSmart has distributed $202,000 in grants to 35 grassroots organisations across Australia.

These grants are helping frontline organisations respond to rising costs and continue supporting their communities. From keeping outreach services on the road, to providing food and essential supplies, supporting access to healthcare and housing, and keeping vital community programs operating.

$202,000. 35 organisations. One shared goal: keeping care within reach.
