We received a wonderful email From @streetsmartaust and we just wanted to share it with you all too. I have some good news to share - we're very pleased to be able to help support your work with a small Community Grant of $6,000, as per your recent application for our Care in a Crisis grant round. These grants have been made possible by the generous support of our donor community throughout May - July 2026. Increased cost of fuel and supplies has impacted everyone and it has led to an increased demand for services. We are so grateful for StreetSmart and their generous grant. Thankyou! Thank you to everyone for their generous support. A little snippet there from the StreetSmart Website, we were so proud to be featured on. Read all about the grant and the other great organisations supported via https://streetsmartaustralia.org/202000-to-keep-support-moving-through-a-crisis/

A pretty special CafeSmart result for 2026. This year, 555 cafés and 55 roasters came together to raise more than $150,000 to support people experiencing homelessness. We’re very proud to have played our part. And a big congratulations to our café partners, Blackbird Thirroul and Black Lime, for being named the #1 and #2 Top New Cafés. A huge thank you to every café, customer and team member who got behind CafeSmart. The recognition is lovely, but what really matters is what we achieved together. Read more about CafeSmart with the link in bio.

StreetSmart Grant for Rising Fuel Costs We just had to share this again it is such good news! We have successfully received a grant from @streetsmartaust for grassroots organisations across Australia, helping frontline services respond to the combined pressures of rising fuel and living costs. Thank you StreetSmart and everyone who generously engaged with this grant. Fuel for Wheels of Wellness is part of our everyday business. Our team are out there, driving to outreach locations, meeting people where they are at. Our 3 outreach vehicles are often out and about bringing healthcare to our Cairns homeless community, helping them access healthcare their way. Thank you @streetsmartaust for helping us help our clients receive healthcare where they’re at, their way. Read about the grant on Street Starts website https://streetsmartaustralia.org/202000-to-keep-support-moving-through-a-crisis/

This beach towel sold out for a reason last year. Now it's back again in a new design, with the same purpose. For every SleepSafe towel purchased, we’ll provide a sleep kit including a towel, fitted sheet, flat sheet, and pillowcase to someone experiencing homelessness. A safe night's sleep belongs to everyone.

Our partnership with StreetSmart began before Bridge It even had a name. They believed in the vision before there was proof. We didn’t have an annual report, audited accounts, or an evaluation, all the things most funders want. They invested in an idea because they believed that young people deserve safe homes, and they trusted us to make that happen. This is what makes StreetSmart special. They help ideas get off the ground which has enabled so many organisations like Bridge It to get started. And they have chosen to stay on the journey with us year after year. Check out Alan White, StreetSmart's CEO to hear why they choose to back Bridge It. Thanks for being awesome @streetsmartaust #BridgeIt #StreetSmart #YouthHomelessness #EndingHomelessness #SocialImpact #CommunityPartnership #ForPurpose #HousingFirst #YouthSupport #CreatingChange #NotForProfit

A little kindness can go a long way. Whether it's volunteering, saying hello, or donating what you can. For World Homelessness week, we all have the power to make a difference for someone experiencing homelessness. Together with SleepSafe, we're helping provide sleep kits to Australians in need. Because a safe night's sleep is for everyone.

Homelessness is diverse and it doesn't discriminate. It can affect people from all walks of life, and often looks very different to what we expect. For many people, it's learning that homelessness doesn't always look like rough sleeping. To learn more about SleepSafe or make a donation, visit the link in our bio.
