Chapter 33 has begun 🤩
Really thankful for another year of experiencing God‘s faithfulness and grace. I love birthdays, I’ve always made them a really big deal for myself and others- because people are worth celebrating. But the older I get, the more I realize that my birthday is not about me, it’s about God.

God knew my life before I was ever formed. He knew all of the trouble I would face, all of the mistakes I would make, how many times I would turn and run away from him, and everything I would fake just to be accepted by others. He knew every sin I would commit and how prideful I would be.

But He also knew the gifts he would give me, the skills he would develop in me, the way I would love others, and the grit that I would develop to serve. He knew that I would be strong and resilient, and he knew that one day I would stop running and turn to him. He knew that what he put inside of me would come out and I would experience so much joy, love, and freedom after accepting Jesus. He knew there was a ministry inside of me that would point people to Him.

He took all of those things into account and still chose to bring me into the world on 4/30/1993.

I’m just grateful God loves me that much. And he loves you that much too, friend.

Let’s always remember that it’s not about us. Another week, another year, another trial, another promotion, another death, another win, another battle, another victory. It’s always been about Him.

What an unforgettable weekend up north celebrating our one year wedding anniversary. I don’t have all the answers on marriage, but one thing I can say:
If you’ve got God at the center, that’s all you need to make it.

I’m so thankful God brought Brett into my life. He knew exactly who I needed to live, laugh, and do ministry with. Brett is so patient, caring and loving. He makes the whole room laugh. He is a constant reminder of Gods unstoppable love towards me, never giving up and never ceasing to take care of me. He is a leader, a man of God who’s honest, committed and unapologetic about his faith. He is sold out on making Jesus known to those in the world through proving the truth of the Bible.

Marriage is so worth it. To many more years seeking the Kingdom with my main squeeze. ❤️‍🔥 #marriage by @strengthby.grace

🇳🇮🌴✝️ What a blessing to be able to return to Nicaragua. God is doing something incredible through the local church and pastors who are passionate about bringing the Gospel to the most sensitive people groups. These are people who have little to nothing, but they have everything because they have each other, and God - they know what’s most important.

My prayer is that Americans would be free from the American disease of materialism and vanity, and return to the simple things of love, family, and the freedom only found in Jesus Christ.

There is much more work to be done both abroad and locally in America. Until all have heard. Until then, I’m eternally grateful for these opportunities God has given me.

🤩 Wow I’m 32! ; Thank you to all the family and friends who have wished me a happy birthday and show me love day after day.
God has blessed me with the best of humans to remind me of His love for me.

From personal healing and freedom, to a marriage, to more family members, to a new home, to the stirring of my faith and continuing opportunity to serve Gods church, it’s been quite the year. It’s been a whirlwind of change and blessing.

Thank you God for another year of life, for saving me, for my health and the chance to serve you. I can’t wait to see what you do in this next season. It’s all for you anyway ❤️‍🔥 ready for what’s next! by @strengthby.grace

Brett and I have come a long way to get here…
I have learned and seen that marriage is the ultimate form of sanctification. If you’ve got God in your relationship, He will show you a lot about yourself through the person you love. If you allow Him, God will mold you into someone more loving, helpful, and humble through your relationship. But we weren’t always like that.

Before giving our lives to Christ, we suffered much pain, loss and seasons of emotional ups and downs. We had put our trust in things and people of the world and not God. We had relied on people and circumstances to fill us up, not asking for God to fill us up.

It wasn’t until we both started focusing on God, His word, and serving His church that we began to heal from those things and feel His incredible love for us - despite the mistakes we made or what we had been through. It wasn’t until we placed Him as #1 in our lives as single people, that the pain slowly started to feel a little less and less each year- and hope began to come back. Like, maybe He does have great things in mind for me.

When God finally aligned our paths… it’s not that we had it all together, it’s not that we were completely healed, it’s just that we had God back in His rightful place.

I can’t type “this is the love I prayed for” until you read that ^ part. The part where we had to get things back in the right order. God wants to give us all the love we deserve, the one He has planned for us in Heaven. But there is work to be done first.

My single friends… find a person who:
1) loves Jesus with their whole heart
2) is kind, respectful and consistent
3) can have a conversation with you, who listens well
4) who can be a friend and tell you when you’re wrong
5) who you are attracted to and want to spend your time with (this IS a thing, it’s just not the most important thing)

From someone who waited longer than she wanted, but can now testify that God really did have something greater in mind all along. 🤍 by @strengthby.grace

10/10 recommend traveling the world 🌍 with your spouse.

To many more years of exploring the places of the Bible, new adventures, sushi dates, and family game nights. We are just getting started!
