Look at that face. Fist up, jaw set, total focus. That's the moment I live for.

This is what a Strike Back session actually looks like. Not women standing politely at the back. Women hitting pads, holding pads for each other, getting their stance right and then hitting harder. I'm 4ft 11 and I teach every woman in the room the same thing. Your size doesn't decide whether you can protect yourself. Your technique does, and technique can be learned by anyone.

Workplaces, this is what your team could be doing. Not another slideshow on staying safe, but real skills they'll carry for life.

So here's what to do. One, if you want Strike Back in your workplace, drop us a message. Two, if you want to come and train with us yourself, find a session near you. Reflection Sunday - What growth really costs…..

You see the flights. The stages. The new countries.

This year, that's been New Delhi. Malaysia. Cairo. Mumbai. LA.

And conversations about what comes next. Egypt. Nepal. Mongolia. Hong Kong. Australia. USA. Canada.

We are growing faster than ever. And the world needs it.

But here's what doesn't make the highlight reel.

It's the stories. The ones women and girls trust us with. The ones NGOs and associations share when they tell us what's really happening on the ground. You don't just hear those stories. You carry them.

It's leading a global team while carrying all of that.

And it's learning, again and again, that growth also shows you who people really are.

Loyalties are tested….
Some stand beside you.
Some question you.
Some take.

That last one is the hardest to say out loud. Because when you've built something whose whole purpose is protecting women and girls, it hurts to watch women look at it and see a self serving opportunity for themselves. Because you're bigger now. Because you're harder to reach. Because one person can only stretch so far.

I'm not saying this for sympathy. I say it because it's the reality.

Sometimes people forget that behind Strike Back is a real human. A woman who started this because of her own story. One who works at 100 miles an hour. Who works 24/7. Who is, quite often, exhausted.

And some days it is beyond exhausting. And it takes its toll.

And still. Every morning. We go again.

Because the reason we started hasn't changed.

Every woman and girl should have access to a female self-defence instructor.

Not some. Every.

That's the mission. It always has been. It always will be.

So today, I'm pausing. Reflecting. And saying thank you.

To my incredible team behind the scenes. To my instructors. To friends. To every woman who has backed us, shown up for us, and stood with us.

You are the reason this keeps moving. ❤️

Because this is what happens. You stand at the front of a room full of women who walked in nervous, arms folded, not sure they should even be there. And by the end of the session they're loud, they're laughing, they're putting their whole body into every strike, and they walk out like they own the place. Every single week. It's honestly exhausting watching women realise how powerful they are.

I'm 4ft 11. I built Strike Back into the world's largest women's self defence organisation by proving that size means nothing when you know what you're doing. Now I want more women out there teaching it, and I'm not after the timid ones. I want women who are ready to stand up front and lead.

A huge shoutout to my Midlands team!🙌🏼

Waking up late this morning to what has been quite a week!

We flew in from Mumbai India at the beginning of this week and finished the week celebrating in Manchester with the StrikeBack Midlands team at the Women
in Business Awards!

Strike Back Self Defence Stafford and Donna Walker brought home runner up Franchisee of the Year🎉🎉🎉

I’m so proud of these women. They absolutely deserve every award they are up for and more. They are on the ground teaching these life skills to women and girls day in day out.

Awards are always great….but knowing you are saving women and girls from violence and abuse through what you teach is immeasurable. That is the real win🎉🎉🎉

I didn't build Strike Back to have a job. I built it because I was done hearing women get told to be more careful while nobody taught them what to do when careful isn't enough.

Every time something happens to a woman, the conversation turns to what she was wearing, where she was walking, why she was out alone. I'm sick of it. I'm 4ft 11 and I teach women to put an attacker on the floor, because the answer was never to shrink. The answer is to fight back.

That's the mission. And I need more women standing next to me doing it.

I'm 4ft 11 and I've spent years putting grown men on the mat to prove one thing. Size means nothing when you know what you're doing. I built Strike Back into the world's largest women's self defence organisation because I was sick of women being told to be careful instead of being taught to fight back.
