Yeti 2016-2026 🌈

Even though I’d been preparing to say goodbye for a while, it doesn’t make things any easier. Yeti is the only dog I ever chose myself to adopt, and he was one of the best dogs I’ve ever known.

Nothing ever fazed him, not tearing ligaments in his leg as a young boi, not getting attacked by two vicious dogs after covid lockdowns lifted, and not by a major cancer surgery & recovery last year. No matter what he endured, all he wanted were his walks, his hikes and his treatos.

After almost two years without a dog, and weeks of striking out at every shelter in the Denver metro area once I started looking for a puppy, I was recommended a place way out east of the city, and as I drove there I just had a feeling that I knew I would find my best friend that day. He was in a pen with a bunch of annoying barking pups, but he was just silent, laying on his back and stretching his two front paws underneath the gate of the pen, and this was how I first saw him and I knew right then I’d found the right dog, even before I got a real look at how beautiful he was in his stripey glory

From the day @lady.v.ig and I brought him home he was the most well-behaved little guy, never once had an accident, got along with the kitties, and every dog & human he came in contact with. He had an insatiable need to be walked at least twice a day, and even by conservative estimates, him and I took at least 25 million steps together.

I can’t conceive ever owning a better dog than Yeti and I wasn’t prepared for the realization of how much his needs impacted my everyday life. My heart will forever be partially broken without him

If you’re still reading this far, I hope you were lucky enough to have met him and spent time with him, he was so much more than just a best friend to me, he was the reason for much of my joy and I believe he made me a better person.

Miss you buddies, hope you are chasing all the squirrels and summiting all the peaks ❤️😢 by @striznodes

🎃 Halloween weekend is upon us and what better way to get dark n spooky than with the sounds of DNB legend PHOTEK, making his long-awaited return to Denver after over a decade away.

A true architect of drum & bass, Photek stands as one of the genre’s most innovative and uncompromising figures, pioneering the intelligent DnB sound that fused atmosphere, rhythm, and precision. Rising from the golden era of jungle, he reshaped the form into something surgical and cinematic — where silence carries weight and every beat is engineered tension. From early Metalheadz classics to his visionary Modus Operandi LP on Virgin’s Science imprint, Photek’s influence has shaped the blueprint for generations. Three decades and three Grammy nominations later, his influence still runs deep — a legacy of discipline, detail, and fearless experimentation.

Don’t miss the chance to catch this absolute don, alongside a heavy B2B featuring Goreteks x Shoebox x John Glist this Saturday Nov 1 👻🔥
