As we celebrate 50 years of Strollo’s Lighthouse, I can’t help but think of my Uncle Ray Strollo.

At 13 years old, he gave me my first job behind the counter. At 19, he trusted me enough to sell me the original Lighthouse—a decision that changed my life forever.

Ray laid the foundation, I was blessed to build on that foundation and grow his legacy into five locations, but we never lost sight of what made the Lighthouse special: quality, family, and tradition.

For generations, Strollo’s Lighthouse has been part of summers at the Jersey Shore. Parents who grew up with a Lemon Ice now bring their own children and grandchildren, creating memories that have lasted for 50 years.

Ray passed away in 2002, but his legacy lives on in every cup we serve and every smile we see.

Thank you Ray, for believing in a 19-year-old kid. I hope I’ve made you proud. ❤️
