I debated about sharing this, but the reality is not every run goes the way you plan…and a 19 mile solo run is REALLY hard. Not sure why it was off, but I got through it. And I’ll give it another go next week. The few high points of this one were Pete and Sadie’s surprise visits and the @strolloslighthouse at the end!

Good things don’t show up unless you do.

this summer I turned a new leaf, and that’s due to the fact I’ve never given up on the things I want to build and who I want to be.

I let myself down a lot more than the average joe, I fall behind, I lose focus, I struggle every day - but I’ve never lost sight of what is possible, what I want to build and the man I want to be.

This year I showed up. Simple as that. I started this endurance club, I started coaching new triathletes, and this summer I had a pivotal moment where I thought to myself “oh, this is exactly what I’ve always dreamed of” - To be surrounded by people who get after it.

For the past 2-3 years of my life I had no friends, or at least nobody I could share this thing I love with. I really yearned for that connection, and this year that changed.

This sport has shown me a glimpse of what is possible when you put your head down and believe - it is the first place in my life where I felt like I could be something more than nothing, maybe even something great, and I choose to believe that every day.

I love triathlon and endurance sport to death, it has given me everything in my life. I love the community, I love the people, I love my athletes and my friends and my team and ALL I STRIVE FOR is for others to feel that feeling. Whether I can do that as a coach, as a friend, as a creator online, that is what my mission is in this life. For you to one day feel the pride, the joy, the pain, the accomplishment and the support that I’ve been able to feel from this sport.

It isn’t easy, it isn’t cheap, it isn’t straightforward and it isn’t linear, but it is rewarding. I am going to keep pouring my all into this life, this sport, this community, my athletes, my training, and my friends until the wheels come off, because I couldn’t imagine it any other way.

Get after it.

Reminiscing on my Jersey Shore Summer ⛱️🐚☀️

What a summer it was! I got to soak up the sunshine, splash around and swim, do lots of sightseeing, and make SO many special memories along the way. 🌊From beach days and new adventures to getting to see so many of our friends and family, my tail was pretty much wagging the whole time! 💛

There’s nothing better than exploring new places with my person and being surrounded by some of our favorite humans. Safe to say this guide dog in training had one pawsome summer at the shore! 🦮🌊🐚
