ZepFOCUS! Today’s shoutout is for the incredibly touching and important short film @theparalian_film 🌊 Sometimes grief overcomes us, blinds us, and over time, has the potential to destroy us if we can’t let go.

In The Paralian, a retired fisherman’s descent into madness forces him to confront his grief when visions of his late wife beckon him to the sea.

The film features exquisite cinematography by ZepFEST alum @blickenstaff.dp and is beautifully directed by @theklexguy
With heartfelt performances by @markbracich @tylerboruffvo @reedalyson and Amelia Ferrante, this one hits home for so many of us. Grief doesn’t have to necessarily be an end - but the beginning of a new chapter if we let our hearts open up. A high recommendation from our jurors! by @stromberg.films

Frames from ‘The Paralian’ featuring @reedalyson

Shot this film in Oregon last year and it was an amazing experience. We had a fantastic team and a beautiful location. Everyone had a ton of fun, even on the 16 hour drive to the Oregon coast.

Reed was wonderful to work with and gave an incredible performance.

Can’t wait for people to see the film, should be coming to festivals near you soon 🤞

Went to Oregon last year and shot a movie with some great people.

This film asked a lot of me, and I wouldn’t have made it through without the talent, generosity, and support of this incredible cast and crew. The Paralian began as a quiet idea that was deeply personal to me and these artists showed up with care and intention and gave this story more than I could’ve asked for. Thank you all for the long days, surviving the frigid Pacific Ocean, and for helping bring this film to life.

Pretty soon I’ll get to share more of the incredible work we made so stay tuned.😎🎥 by @stromberg.films

Meet Brady Stromberg!
Brady is a Filmmaking student at Southern Utah University and is currently employed as a videographer for the school. When he’s not writing, filming, or editing, you can find him trying new recipes, brainstorming script ideas, and of course—watching movies. After college, he hopes to pursue his passion and become more immersed in the filmmaking industry. A fan of all things fantasy, he’s thrilled at the opportunity to capture some magical moments at the Vamp Dance!
