POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Yesterday was one of those ā€œhow is this my job?ā€ kind of days.

Lunenburg is my hometown. I moved away 12 years ago, but it’ll always be a huge part of who I am and, honestly, probably explains a lot about why I am the way I am.

This one felt especially full circle.

My whole journey with a camera basically started in Lunenburg, filming my friends at the skate park šŸ˜…. Now, all these years later, I’m back home with a camera in my hands, stepping aboard the Bluenose to help tell a small piece of her story.

I grew up with the Bluenose basically in my backyard. It was always just there. Part of the town, part of home, and something I probably didn’t fully appreciate when I was younger.

I’ve been lucky enough to take this camera all over the world, but there’s something pretty special about where it all started bringing me back home.

Never lost on me where this little camera has taken me. āš“ļø

This will admittedly be the first of many posts from this trip because there’s no way I can sum it all up in one.

Japan gave me a lot more than photos.

It changed the way I see the world. Being surrounded by that many people, moving through a place so different from home, gave me a much bigger perspective on just how many lives are unfolding at once on this spinning rock.

Every person carrying their own history, family, culture, beliefs, and way of understanding the world.

It also made me think about how much most of us never get the chance to learn about one another.

Before working with the Haudenosaunee Nationals, I knew very little about their history, culture, sovereignty, or what lacrosse truly means to them. Over time, I’ve been fortunate enough to be invited in, to listen, to document, and to learn.

That trust is something I’ll never take lightly.

I’m a white guy from Nova Scotia. These stories are not mine, and I’ll never pretend to fully understand an experience I didn’t grow up living. But this opportunity has changed me. It has made me more curious, more open, and more aware of how much history exists beyond what I was taught.

My dad wears the Haudenosaunee shirts I bring home, and people ask him what they mean. Friends see the work and want to know more. Someone watches a video and learns the name Haudenosaunee for the first time.

That matters.

This has never just been about lacrosse. It’s about people, culture, spirituality, history, family, and a way of seeing the world that deserves to be understood by far more people.

I don’t see myself as a replacement for Haudenosaunee voices. I’m simply grateful to have been trusted to help amplify them.

The greatest thing this opportunity has given me wasn’t the access, the travel, or the footage.

It was perspective.

And the more of the world I see, the more I realize how much there still is to learn.

Nia:wen to everyone who continues to welcome us, teach us, and trust us.

These stories were never ours.

We’re simply fortunate enough to help carry them. taken in Tokyo ę±äŗ¬, Japan by @strowbie

I’ve been working on something pretty special with @bmwcanada that I can’t wait to share with you all. More on that soon… šŸ‘€

But for now, I wanted to share a few frames from our recent golf trip to Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦

I genuinely believe this is one of the most beautiful places in the world. The winding roads of the Cabot Trail, mountains that meet the ocean, rugged coastlines, and some of the most spectacular golf you’ll ever experience. It’s a place that every golfer should 100% have on their bucket list.

A huge shoutout to my man @strowbie for helping me capture this experience and braving just about every element Cape Breton could throw at us. And to the talented @adamhillphoto for his incredible drone work while we experienced the beauty of @highlandslinks for the very first time. Couldn’t have asked for a better crew to share this adventure with!

And a massive thank you to everyone at @cabotcapebreton @cabot for hosting us and delivering a truly world-class experience. It’s a trip we’ll be talking about for a long, long time šŸ«¶šŸ»

Lots more to come. šŸŽ¬ taken in Cape Breton Island by @strowbie

A few postcards from Cape Breton. ā›³ļøšŸ‚

What a way to wrap up a summer of golf.

We headed to @cabotcapebreton with @coolbetcanada to capture content at the BMW PGA Scramble, and somewhere along the way, this trip became a pretty cool reminder of where this whole golf content journey is heading.

@highlandslinks reached out and offered to host our foursome for a round. The last time I was there, I was working behind the camera and didn’t get to play. Getting to experience that magical place with some buddies was pretty special, and having a course reach out to offer that opportunity for the first time felt like a step in the right direction.

This summer, I’ve been fortunate enough to play a decent amount of ā€œfree golfā€ in exchange for content, using those opportunities to experiment, build a system, and create a bit of a pilot for what I hope becomes a bigger part of my career.

By the end of the summer, I’d been paid three separate times to head to Cabot and shoot golf content.

Getting paid to travel, play golf, meet people, and tell stories through a camera? That’s starting to feel like a dream come true that I didn’t even know I was dreaming.

I’ve fallen deeper and deeper in love with this game. The courses, the friendships, the stories, and even the ridiculous weather we battled at Cabot. šŸ˜‚ There’s something about getting through a round like that together that makes it even more memorable.

I’m sitting on a ridiculous amount of video content from this summer, and I’m excited to spend the winter sharing these stories and building momentum for next season.

Can’t wait to see which fairways this journey takes me to next.

And to everyone liking, commenting, sharing, or messaging, thank you. It all helps feed the algorithm and, admittedly, my ego just enough to convince me I’m on the right path. šŸ˜‚

Lots more to come. šŸŽ„ā›³ļø taken in Cape Breton Island by @strowbie

Tokyo according to my camera roll. šŸ‡ÆšŸ‡µ

Went for work.
Ate everything.
Watched baseball.
Found a Guinness.
Visited an irresponsible amount of camera stores.
Discovered the toilets are operating about 30 years ahead of us.

But the biggest takeaway was just how insanely advanced Japan feels.

Everything is so intentional. The technology, transit, food, cleanliness, convenience, design. Even the smallest everyday things had me wondering why we don’t do it that way back home.

Somewhere in between all of that, we got to make some pretty cool stuff too.

Thanks @chucknchuck for trusting me to tag along and help tell these stories.

Easily the coolest place I’ve ever visited, and I feel like I barely scratched the surface.

Can’t wait to get back. šŸ‡ÆšŸ‡µ

10/10. Would Tokyo again.

Made a new friend @ensoku.goldengai

  Work brought me here. šŸŽ„
Shot the Haudenosaunee jersey reveal in front of Tokyo Tower. Still pretty surreal.

So. Much. Food. šŸœ
7-Eleven runs, sushi, ramen and pretty much anything else we could get our hands on.

 Frickin’ sick whips everywhere.
Japan somehow makes the most random vehicles cool.

Self explanatory

The world’s first plant-based craft cola brand. One of those random Tokyo finds

Even the Coca-Cola trucks looked cool.
Everything in this city felt worth taking a photo of.

Tokyo Giants game. āš¾ļø
10x more entertaining than any MLB game I’ve ever been to.

Pre game za’s became a necessity

Japan’s transit system made me realize how badly we’re getting cooked back home.

This is a house. 🌿
Just casually hidden behind an entire wall of plants.

Tokyo by day / Tokyo by night.
Feels like two completely different cities

Gotta catch them all

Drooling over every camera store. šŸ“ø
Any camera you can imagine.

I tried & am pro bidet.
This toilet in one of the arenas however, I did not take for a spin.

Just a couple were earned.

Much like the entire country, Uber was on another level over there.

Thanks for trusting me to help tell these stories. Trips like this are a pretty wild reminder of where picking up a camera can take you.

Until next time, Tokyo āœŒšŸ¼šŸ‡ÆšŸ‡µšŸŽŒ taken in Tokyo ę±äŗ¬, Japan by @strowbie

Happy to be here at the Pan American Sixes Lacrosse Championships with the @haudenosaunee_nationals šŸŽ„šŸ„

From Japan to Oshawa and a few places in between, I’m always grateful for any opportunity I get to tag along with this organization and help tell their stories.

Another week behind the camera with some of the best people. Let’s get to work šŸŽ„

Why @cabotcapebreton is a must visitāļø

You can watch the sun disappear over the Atlantic Ocean while praying the round doesn’t end

All the merch is fire. Coore’s, The Nest, Links & Cliffs all have phenomenal logos & options.

The cookie is incredible, and they let you come back for seconds

Pure.

& they are beauties.

It just does.

All you can eat seafood bar, followed by a heap of lobster, crab legs, corn and mussels.

Followed by all you can eat dessert.

Still the best office view I’ve ever had.

It won’t. Good luck.

A special place.

Truly. Magical. taken in Cabot Cape Breton by @strowbie

Might have found my new favourite way to play a foursome. ā›³ļø

2v2 Shamble.

Easy to play, takes a little pressure off the tee, gives you more chances at birdie and somehow still keeps every hole competitive.

We played low score + low total for 2 points on every hole and it made for a really fun match.

Save this one and try it with your group next round šŸ¤ taken in Glen Arbour Golf Course by @strowbie

Store #10. Toronto #2. 🌱

Pretty wild to think about how much has changed since Harvest and Uncharted were both getting started six years ago.

We’ve grown alongside Harvest in a lot of ways, and it’s exciting to be at a point now where we can really lean in and bring everything we’ve learned over those six years to the table. Photo, video, storytelling, partnerships, creative strategy and everything in between.

Scotia Plaza officially opens Tuesday, marking Harvest’s 10th location and second in Toronto, with another 4-5 stores expected to open this year across Ontario and into new provinces.

We’re a small cog in a much bigger operation, but I’m incredibly fortunate to be a part of it and excited to keep helping tell the story as this thing grows.

Lots more ahead. 🌱
