Berlin-based @struktur__ (aka Frieder Blume) lands on Maloca with Levitation, his debut release for the label. Drawing on a broad spectrum of electronic styles, the album offers up a nebulous yet consistent body of hypnotic, club-forward explorations, grounded in patience, gradual evolution and a deep understanding of dancefloor movement.

The first single introduces the listener to the album’s universe. Unfolding through gentle lattices of synthesised drums and hypnotic sine plinks, the track gradually coalesces into a mesmeric world of effervescent melodies, offering up a study in restraint and polyrhythmic exploration.

Levitation is out now on all platforms, full album out 7/10

∑ : Schleifen II

Available for download at Hard Wax (link in bio) and the usual music streaming platforms.

This LP brings together tracks that grew out of my work with loops under the alias ∑ (Summe), pieces that have been waiting in the digital archives for a decade.

∑ was a collective active between 2012 and 2016. I was responsible for its musical output, and when it dissolved, I was left with a large body of unfinished and unreleased work. For a long time, I struggled with how to confront and process this material.

Returning to these tracks - editing, reshaping, and finally completing them - has been an important step in coming to terms with what that period left behind.
It has given me energy for my work in the future, and I'm excited to have taken this step!

Struktur’s second single Grounding is out now on @maloca.records

On Grounding, @struktur__ explores the relationship between rotating synth arpeggiations, rapidfire, mutative hi hats and bassweight-laden gravitational pull. Cinematic and urgent in its tonality, the track offers up a patient, hypnotic study of half step movement which exists in a state of dancefloor-focused perpetuity.

Grounding is out now on all platforms, full album out 7/10

BRUTALISM x Mapping Waidmarkt

EVENING at St. Gertrud Church | 26.09.2026 | 8 pm | ticket link in bio

St. Gertrud in Cologne’s Agnesviertel was built between 1962 and 1965 to a design by Gottfried Böhm (1920–2021), who received the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 1986. The church is an asymmetrical polygon of raw concrete, folded into sharp angles and set into a dense city block. Nothing is clad or hidden: the formwork marks are still visible, the structure is the surface. The concrete gives the room a long, unforgiving reverb: a space that shapes every sound played into it.

On 26.09., Kali Malone plays a rare electronic live set here, her sustained tones meeting Böhm’s angular concrete. Alongside her: live sets by Struktur and by BRUTALISM residents Dornen and Lomi, joined by Gayeon Moon. In the crypt, an exhibition by Rosalie Becher.

BRUTALISM and Mapping Waidmarkt connect architectural spaces with experimental sound practice.
On 26.09. we bring together two special events in one day: the afternoon at St. Georg and the evening at St. Gertrud.

Struktur is the solo musical project of Berlin-based composer and producer Frieder Blume, who also records as Σ and B.E.F. Across releases including I, Schleifen, Schleifen II, the Mycelium EP, and the eight-part, cinematic drone/ambient work Still, Struktur moves between techno, drone, and expansive ambient soundscapes — loops hovering between the rhythmic and the dissolved, structure and its erosion. The project grew out of Blume’s earlier work as a co-founder of the Σ Kollektiv (2012–2017), before continuing independently under the Struktur name. Alongside his solo output, Blume has built a parallel, deeply intertwined practice as a composer and sound designer for dance and performance. He is a longtime collaborator of choreographer and director Joana Tischkau, scoring productions including BEING PINK AIN’T EASY (2019), COLONASTICS (2020, 2023), KARNEVAL (2022), YO BRO (2022), LAST NIGHT A DJ TOOK MY LIFE (2024), ICH NEHM DIR ALLES WEG – Ein Schlagerballett (2024), RUNNIN’ (2025, HAU Hebbel am Ufer), DIE ZWILLINGE (2026, Maxim Gorki Theater), and TRAPICANA (2026, Tanz im August/ Kampnagel, with Cuba’s Malpaso Dance Company). In2021 he composed and designed sound for Anta Helena Recke’s production of 1000 Serpentinen Angst.

Σ = 5 on Summe Tonträger, 2015

At the time of this release Selektiv and Schleife XII had already been a few years old.
Fortunately I was surrounded by people who were very encouraging of what I was doing. So together we brought this small release into reality in November 2015.

@hardwax_official was supportive from the very beginning and helped us with the distribution.
For anyone who doesn't know, you can still get this 7" at the store

Sarah Davachi - Qualities of Bodies Permanent EP

This months, 10 years have passed since @sarahdavachi allowed us to press these two beautiful and mesmerizing compositions, which were taken from her Album with the same title, on 7".

It's been an honor to have had this opportunity and this small record still holds a special place in my heart and even though I had a few copies they have been played so much that they are all almost dead.
