The word "Students" in our name has a double significance. 👩🏽‍🎓👨🏼‍🎓
On the one hand, it is a non-profit organisation founded by seven students in 2019. On the other hand, students are formally engaged in learning, and our purpose is to support the education of such children and youth.

Why did we choose to support children and young adults?
The consequences of disease, malnutrition, poverty, weak emotional, social, cognitive, as well as physical development, threaten the future of children. Children are the future and supporting them today will have an incremental impact on the future state of the world. 🌍💚

Amani 💚.
Our charity was founded to support projects that increase children's and young adult's peace of mind so that they can freely develop themselves. In Swahili, peace of mind translates into Amani. We aimed for our name to summarize our Mission. As the first project we supported is located in Kenya, whose official language is Swahili, Amani was the perfect fit. 💫

Amani 💚.
Unsere Charity wurde gegründet, um Projekte zu unterstützen, die den Seelenfrieden von Kindern und jungen Erwachsenen stärken, damit sie sich frei entfalten können. In Swahili heißt Seelenfrieden übersetzt Amani. Wir wollten, dass unser Name unsere Mission widerspiegelt. Da das erste von uns unterstützte Projekt in Kenia ist, dessen Amtssprache Swahili ist, war Amani die perfekte Wahl. 💫 by @studentsforamani

On 11th of October, Elif will be running 10 km at the Munich Marathon as part of the SfA charity running campaign which will take place again after a successful run earlier this year.🏃🏻‍♀️ She is running to support the Makungu project in Kenya and promote children’s health, wellbeing and education, because strong bodies and healthy minds can help create stronger opportunities for the future!✨ Every donation, no matter how small, helps make a difference in children’s’ education! 🥰 If you would like to support the run and contribute to the campaign, you can donate through the link in our bio! 💚 #RunForAHealthyMind by @studentsforamani

Ready to help us win a donation marathon? ✨
This Sunday, the 27th we are joining betterplace.org donation marathon with our Makungu Carehome project.

Here is how it works:
Betterplace is adding 50.000€ bonus pool to split among all participating projects, the more donations we receive the bigger the slice 🥳

Example if we raise 1% of total donations across all projects, we will receive 1% of the 50.000€ - meaning huge impact for our project ☺️
Help us make this Sunday count!! 💚 by @studentsforamani

Ending the week with some updates from the Makungu Carehome 💚

📚 First — Sarah and John (the names we use to protect their identities) have officially started secondary school.

💻 Thanks to your generous support, new laptops have arrived at the carehome! The children took part in an introductory course covering everything from the basics of how to use them, to staying safe online and — most importantly — how to harness technology as a powerful tool for their education and future.

🎓 And last but not least — Karuga, our wonderful development worker, made a special trip to Bungoma to sit down with three of the older children who are getting ready to start their college applications. The future is wide open for them ✨ by @studentsforamani

🫠 vielleicht doch noch eine Karriere als TikTok Star 🌟😂

ASANTE to my Makungu family ❤️ for giving me a home, a lot of lessons (how to cook on fire, how to shower without a shower, how to wash clothes without a washing machine🤭)… I leave this place with a heart full of memories ✨🧡
