Consider this our love letter to tomatoes grown on home soil 🍅

Produce plays such an important role in the stories behind the food that lands on our tables. The growers, the makers and the people behind the scenes who give it their all.

We’ve been lucky to spend time with Stu and the team at Stakehill Produce, creating lo-fi content and capturing the many ways their tomatoes are used across Perth, from restaurant kitchens to our own weekend market hauls and some seriously good weekend specials.

@_goodsbakery is truly on a roll. One-off creations, weekend specials and new additions keeping us very well fed. Our new office will soon be even closer to the action. Watch this space 👀

Lo-fi goodness across @canteenpizza, @nogilane, @chichogelato’s latest collab with @pica_perth, @wagoodfoodguide and @north54_. We stopped by @tendonkohaku.perth’s new digs at @kingswaycitysc, kicked off new projects with @manespecialistbottleshop, @gardefremantle and @wanneroobotanicgardens, and even put Abbey back on the tools.

August has rolled in, bringing back Plateful Perth.

This year, Sauma’s famous Jumbo Thali journeys to Kerala, India’s Land of Spices. A region known for its fragrant curries, coconut-rich cooking and layered spice blends, all brought together on one generous platter designed to share.

Start with pani puri, paniyaram with coconut chutney, ghee roast squid and Kerala fried chicken, then fragrant fish moilee, Kerala beef and dal curriess with lemon rice and paratha, and finish on sweet treats. Celebrate the warmth and abundance of Kerala’s coastal cuisine with @twisted_indian’s latest Thali.

Bringing good people together.

Dusk at 11 Acre Farm began with a simple idea: connect great chefs with an extraordinary place. We loved developing the campaign and bringing together Head Chefs Fendi Bong of @good.paddock and Eddie Bulatao of @gatherfoodswa for the first instalment of what we hope becomes a long-running dinner series.

Cooking over fire. Celebrating Noongar Boodja. Incredible produce harvested from the farm just metres away. The evening began with drinks and canapés through the gardens before everyone gathered around the table as dusk settled over the farm.

LATELY AT APPETITE 🔥 Officially half way through winter and the past two weeks were jam-packed.

Switching the shoot focus to Bistecca. Big cuts of steak and big reds every Thursday. Plus Chef Nico and Kash on the mic for our Pizza Speciale content series

It’s been full tinsel for Molly’s Irish Pub 🎄

Christmas in July across both venues brought Festive Spice Bags, Sunday Roasts with all the trimmings and visits from Santa.

The month kicked off with sold-out festive quiz nights. Our team Bon Bon Appetit came 8th out of 38 teams... pretty chuffed! We'll be wrapping up July with an ugly Christmas jumper party to close out the month-long festivities.
