The Pancake Bar at @laika.coffee is exactly what you need for a weekend brunch! 🥞✨

We visited @laika.coffee last weekend for their thick and fluffy triple-stacked pancakes, and there was sooo much food to get through 🤤

We tried the classic Bacon Jam & Sunny Side Up, Southern Fried Chicken, and Matcha & Raspberry — each stack bringing a completely different flavour 🍗🍵🥓 The best part? They’re also available as a gluten-free option! 🍳

We also added the Maple Mont Blanc with a Cappuccino, which made the perfect little pairing to finish our pancake feast ☕️🍁

If you’re a pancake person, Laika’s Pancake Bar definitely needs to be on your weekend brunch list! 🧈🍽️

Okay… I think I’ve found my new favourite steak night 🥩👀

@somewhereinthepark_ Wagyu Wednesdays might just be my new midweek go-to. $35 for the steak night, or $40 including a middy or glass of Shiraz 🍷

Definitely one to add to the list if you love a good steak!

🌮 Latin American feast at Masa Mesa! 🌮

Okay, I knew the quesabirria tacos were going to be good (how can you go wrong with a cheesy, saucy taco) but I was NOT prepared for that chicharrón. 🤤

Quite frankly, the chicharron was exceptional. Ridiculously crispy, melt in your mouth pork belly, paired with creamy guacamole, crunchy cassava chips, and sweet pineapple aji. The combination of salty, fatty, creamy and crunchy was absolute perfection. Honestly, I’d go back for this dish alone. 👏

Every dish we ate here was so packed with bold vibrant flavours. Think fresh lime and cilantro on each dish. Even the street corn packs a hefty whallop.

They have a range of delicious tacos, and you can even try Salvadoran pupusas!

If you’re keen to explore more Latin American flavours in Perth, Masa Mesa needs to go on the list.

If you love Spanish food, this is one snack you’ll want to share with your amigos 🇪🇸🍷

The Patatas de Picoteo at @pinchosperth are crispy golden fries topped with jamón, creamy manchego, honey, smoky paprika and spicy guindillas, bringing together the perfect mix of sweet, salty, smoky and spicy flavours in every bite 🍟🤤

At $18 per serve and enough for two, they’re available Tuesday to Sunday from 12–5pm - perfect for an afternoon snack with drinks, a casual catch-up, or something to nibble on before diving into tapas 🍷✨

We paired ours with Sangria and worked our way through some of their other Spanish favourites too, including Pintxos de Pollo, Gambas and Tortilla Española 🍹🍢 From the crispy patatas to the classic Spanish tortilla, it was a pretty good way to spend an afternoon 🌇🥂

So order a few plates to share, and settle in for some Spanish-style afternoon snacking at @pinchosperth ❤️

If you’re a serious meat lover, this is one Perth experience you’ll want to sink your teeth into. 🥩🔥

We recently spent an afternoon at @Fallow_Perth for their Dry-Aged Steak Masterclass with Chef Stu, and it was so much more than just a great meal.

Starting with a cocktail and three delicious canapés, we settled in for a 30-minute masterclass learning what actually goes into creating exceptional steak - from the dry-ageing process and selecting the right cuts to seasoning, managing heat and cooking over fire.

Then came the best part… a three-course feast of meat.

We started with slow-cooked Stirling Ranges picanha with wood-roasted Brussels sprouts, tahini cream and prosciutto crumb, followed by F1 Wagyu scotch fillet with Fallow fries. The finale was a seriously impressive 1kg dry-aged T-bone, served with more Fallow fries and a fresh gem cos salad.

Basically, a meat lover’s dream. 👌

And the space itself is worth mentioning too. Fallow’s gorgeous multi-level venue combines a chic, modern feel with plenty of character, including historic memorabilia and beautiful chandeliers upstairs, where the lunch is served.

This is an intimate, hands-on experience that gives you a whole new appreciation for what goes into cooking great beef - and then lets you enjoy the results.

Need a date night idea that’s a little different? ❤️✨

We tried the Vic Park Roving Dinner, where you hop between three amazing venues for three delicious courses all for $40 per person from Tuesdays to Thursdays from 5:30pm.

🍜 Neho - We kicked things off with the Folded Arms in Red Oil (pork & cabbage dumplings coated in a fragrant Szechuan chilli dressing with chilli and scallions) and the crispy, flavour-packed Hatyai Fried Chicken.

🍝 Somewhere in the Park - For mains, we had the Pasta alla Norma and the rich, slow-cooked Lamb Ragu Pappardelle, both perfect comfort dishes.

🍨 Over the Moon - We wrapped up the night with a refreshing Matcha Ice Cream and a fragrant Pandan Einspanner, the perfect sweet ending.
