Ceremony florals for our favourites @jordysmith_ & @seanleathendale

In a venue that doesn’t need much, J&S were adamant on a green and white colour palette to cohesively match the vines in @guildhall_eventspace courtyard.
We went with hydrangeas, lisianthus, Queen Anne’s lace, chrysanthemums, asparagus fern, cape feather, trailing ivy and turtle leaves.

FLORALS AND SIGNAGE

A contemporary spin on traditional blue and red Vietnamese weddings.
Table arrangements inspired by still life paintings.
Signage combining English and Vietnamese words.
A clash of cultures and details that express who we are.

SPATIAL DESIGN • RECEPTION

Three long banquet tables. Live music drifting through the room. A dance floor that didn’t stay empty for long.

We skipped the traditional bridal table and took our place amongst everyone - exactly where we wanted to be. For us, sharing food has always been about connection; passing plates, pouring drinks, and bringing people closer together.

The night unfolded like our favourite kind of dinner party - full of stories, laughter, and speeches woven between courses… before spilling into one big, bad boogey.

THE GUESTS

We created a dress code GIF. Sent with the invites.
Clear brief, full commitment.
Because guest fashion is styling — and everyone deserves a main character moment

CUSTOM ARBOUR DESIGN

In a venue that doubles as an art gallery, our arbour had to bring art installation-energy.
Multi-dimensional and designed to be experienced from every angle — not just a backdrop, but the heart of our circular ceremony.
150 cardboard mailing tubes, cut at varying heights and aggregated together, rising from the wooden floorboards to the skylight above with cascading florals.

CEREMONY • SPATIAL DESIGN

Old customs house built in 1908, is a limestone and brick heritage building with an incredible light-filled internal space, perimeter arched windows and pressed tin ceiling.

Due to the square shape of the room and central lightwell above, a traditional ceremony layout would not do this space justice. We opted for a circular layout which not only exemplified the qualities of the building, but enabled all of our guests to enjoy its beauty from all angles.

PAPER THIN is an interior wall covering system. Porous paper fibres are pressed into sheets and CNC cut into wall shingles to aid in acoustic absorption. Formally adaptive, colour adjustable and conservative in its production; Paper Thin serves as a biodegradable alternative to interior wall finishes.

Excited to finally share new work in collaboration with @dannynogo 🔹 PAPER THIN is an interior wall covering system. Porous paper fibres are pressed into sheets and CNC cut into wall shingles to aid in acoustic absorption. Formally adaptive, colour adjustable and conservative in its production; Paper Thin serves as a biodegradable alternative to interior wall finishes.

Shortlisted as a finalist in @vividdesigncomp our design explores the system as a wall covering as well as a room divider, where the diagonal grid forms a shelving unit behind the shingles.
