Introducing STUDIO20 founders Cate Wind and Emily Dickinson. 🌟 Launched in early 2023, STUDIO20 is an experimental project space focused on connection, community, and spotlighting local and international artists.

Cate is a South African born multidisciplinary artist. Her work explores the human condition through light, shadow, and repetition, giving form to emotion and energy. Along side her art practice she is the owner of a design agency.

Emily, with a Fine Art background and years of experience in Berlin’s art scene, co-curates and manages STUDIO20 alongside Cate. Together, they’ve created a hub for experimental art and meaningful experiences.

Through his static sculptural designs, Strecher aims to emphasise the current rigidity of the fashion industry. His approach challenges the current state of fashion design with the hopes that to encourage bold and radical design approaches that integrate the technological and material innovations that are available to us today.

This marks our final post of 2025 - happy holidays ⭐️

Next up in our monthly artist feature series: Artist, co-Founder of STUDIO20 and founder and CEO of WIN Creating Images: Cate Wind @cate_wind

Wind is deeply engaged with the development of our current cultural climate. The constant change, consumption, and chaos of contemporary society often result in a disconnection from ourselves and our immediate surroundings. Incorporating this idea into her practice, Wind explores and questions the natural and human connection in the modern world.

Through her investigations, she aims to question and highlight certain aspects of contemporary life—hoping to make us more aware of ourselves and the environments we inhabit.

STUDIO20 is happy to once again showcase our monthly artist feature series, spotlighting both local and international talent—connecting, showcasing, and building a creative community.

Next up in the series: Monilola Olayemi Ilupeju @monilola

At the core of Monilola’s work lies a preoccupation with materiality as both medium and metaphor. She is particularly drawn to natural surfaces—leather, birch, bricks, etc.—that carry their own histories. Employing techniques such as pyrography, scratching, and cutting, Monilola seeks to mirror the ways memory imprints itself onto the body and the environment.

She has contributed to curatorial and editorial projects of SAVVY Contemporary and Archive Books, among others. Earnestly (2022, Archive Books) is her debut collection of writing. She is currently a participant in the BPA// Berlin program for artists.
