Want to try a new way of drawing?

Try a continuous line drawing—drawing an object without picking up your pen from the paper!

Why it’s helpful:

1. Continuous line drawings help you study the contours of an object and notice its unique lines and bumps.

2. They challenge you to think and problem-solve as you draw.

3. They can add a unique style to your drawings that you may not have explored otherwise.

4. They help you focus on capturing the unique character of an object rather than what you think it is supposed to look like.

Flowers love to see me coming.

This past summer I went on a five day roadtrip to Santa Fe, New Mexico with the painting/drawing/printmaking department at school. Highlights were Mesa Verde, Aztec ruins, Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, Museum of Indian Arts and Culture & Canyon Road. And every flower in my path got its portrait taken 🤍 by @studio80design

Just over here doing a happy dance.

Three full weeks of beautiful places, art, museums and delicious food 🤍 It’s been a year since my study abroad school trip to England and France. It was honestly such an amazing experience and I find myself daydreaming it about it often. On my trip to Europe this summer these little chamomile flowers grew everywhere and I loved it. I had to bring them back to life and paint them with lots of texture!

I’m a little late to St Patrick’s Day, mostly because we had a virus going through our house that lasted three weeks 😣 But luckily we’re all feeling much better! I’ve been back in school for over a year now and I’m loving it! I’m currently taking a 3D Design class and this is a project I made for one of my assignments. I’m used to working in 2D—with pen, pencil and paint—but I’ve been enjoying thinking and working differently in this class.

I recently read a book about light, so this piece was inspired by light rays that bounce and reflect off an object. Made with bamboo skewers, string, and a hot glue gun. Swipe to see different angles! by @studio80design
