It's been a minute since I hosted a supper club! So much has happened during this time so it feels fitting to invite you to explore the unscripted, raw, and often beautifully unexpected nature of grief - through food, art and sound.

Honoured to be collaborating with @soundsofgrief & @idreferdi to stretch beyond the boundaries of taste and bring this multi-sensory experience to life!

I took a friend to a tropical flower arranging workshop @gardenmuseum in Feb last year, another friend to an Ikebana class @shumeilondoncentre in Feb this year, and today I took myself to a hand-tied bouquet workshop @sage.flowers (for my birthday) 💐

Got so many ideas around the possibilities of 'arranging'... excited to explore my practice 🌿

One year, I was so obsessed with salads I ordered one at every restaurant I went to.

Friends thought it was weird to come to a restaurant and only order a salad but I knew what was up!

Might have been the same year I read Salad for President: A Cookbook Inspired by Artists

I Eat You Eat Me, 2012 – @mellajaarsma

A series of participatory performances inviting sharing with and caring for the other.

With the aim of 'getting into the skin of someone else', artist Mella invited people to join an intimate dinner at restaurants, food courts and food stalls.

The participants sat close to one another; each wearing a sculpture shaped as a bib and a table top.

Instead of ordering for themselves, they were asked to imagine what the other would like to eat, choose food for them, and to subsequently feed each other.

'A Return to the Welcome Table', 2021 at @home_by_ronanmckenzie.

In 2021, @ronanksm invited me to create a food offering for a roundtable conversation, with a nod to James Baldwin's 'Welcome Table' as reference.

Set against the backdrop of 'The Self Portrait' exhibition and hosted by @lisaandersonaa, it was beautiful to see the possibilities for an inclusive space for dialogue.

I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to create and connect in this space and I'm so excited for the next iteration of HOME as it transitions and transforms.
