2025 Australian Interior Design Awards
Emerging Interior Design Practice Award
Studio Plenty

We are speechless in winning this prestigious award, what a thrill to stand on stage before all of our heroes.

Our deepest gratitude to the jury for their consideration and generous words - it is an immense pleasure to be appreciated by such an esteemed entourage.

Thank you to @auinteriordesignawards and @spacefurniture for supporting the Emerging Interior Design Practice Award.

Congratulations to all the finalists, winners and in particular to our friends at @j.ar.office for taking home the big silverware for the night.

Finally, to our client, builder, trades and consultants - thank you for trusting us, our vision and the process. None of this would be possible without each and every one of you, we all share this prize together.

As you can probably imagine, we’re pretty excited by this award, so please bear with us while we spam your feeds for at least a week - sorry not sorry.

Lots of love from the Studio Plenty team 🤎

in the heart of Sydney, a jewellery store rethinks the traditional language of luxury retail. compressed into a small footprint, the project integrates storage, security, and display into a single architecture, keeping the centre open for reception.

brushed stainless steel and deep emerald upholstery create the material base, in contrast with american oak, a light-toned wood. suspended within a continuous band of glass, the jewellery on sculptural displays recreates the conventional boundary of the vitrine and restricts it to eye level.

above, a luminous curved ceiling diffuses light throughout the interior, softening its compact geometry and transforming the space into a setting for the pieces.

Burly Gin, almost 2 years since she was new kid on the block, now a treasured cornerstone of Currumbin’s night-scape.

There are few more satisfying feelings than seeing a project prosper and subsequently persevere.

All our love and congratulations to the @burlygin team.

The creative studios of @sarahellisoncreative and @studio__plenty in Byron Bay — a space shaped through collaboration, craftsmanship and the generosity of many talented hands.

Designed in collaboration and shared by Sarah Ellison and Studio Plenty, the space embodies warmth and tactility through material, a calm and sensory vernacular, and—most importantly—a place for creative collaboration.

The project is the result of the generosity of cherished suppliers, makers and trades who all helped bring the project to life. In particular, @fibonacci_au for the supply of fabulous terrazzo floor tiles and @timberwoodpanels for our stunning American Walnut panelling.

Bar Monte Newstead

‘Working within an existing framework, the studio embraced inherited conditions, allowing retained elements to inform the design direction. “We don’t have too much design arrogance around it,” Rathgeber says, letting the design evolve naturally.‘
