It's almost time!

Spoon Club, Wednesday April 30th 5-9 £5 (to help cover costs)

Come on over and carve a spoon.

Bring your tools, some wood if you want (optional, I have loads) and good vibes. I've got coffee, tea, and biscuits.

*Please note, spoon club is an open event, but note that we ask that you have at least carved a spoon before and have safe tool practice (and you own tools) thanks!

My little spoon Club will run on the last Tuesday of the month unless otherwise posted. Hope to see you then.

Our tool rolls have been very popular at @great_northern_events there made from @britishmillerain washable waxed cotton and came from a collaboration with our friend @studio_critical who needed a sturdy tool roll for his carving tools. It has a zipper pouch attached, for small things like pencils, small tools and has a G hook closure to keep everything secure.
It’s a perfect gift for the artist, maker or ceramicist in your life.

We might not have seen any bats last night, but they didn’t seem to see us either! A massive thank you to @batworkeruk for your knowledge and @studio_critical for hosting us for brews and a chat.

We left feeling inspired to discover the bats living in our own local areas, with plenty of fascinating facts, even more questions, and some brilliant conversations along the way.

Lovely to grow our community and we’re already thinking about doing more of these. Let us know if you’d like to join us next time. taken in Manchester UK by @studio_critical

It’s a beautiful day in Chorlton and today is my day to shopkeep at @studio_critical. Here til 4.

This one will be a bit different as i will be doing a mini pop up. For those that missed my 30 rings at Manchester Jewellery Week I will displaying them at Studio Critical and some will be for sale 🎉or available to order. A quick recap of 30rings- the project is a celebration of 30 years of making and the 30 rings are archive, new pieces and collaboration rings with fellow makers @keeleytraae_3d @rebeccalawleysilver @sophievictoriadesign @studio_critical @cherry.chung.willowartist @skenstudios @flux_.textile @jademellorjewellery @cverityjeweller @jobulljewellery
I will also have my jewellery pieces from the Bound, Fabricate, Worn exhibition that took place at the Portico Library.

One last thing, I will be topping up my stock at in the shop so lots to see!

I will be holding the fort at the Studio Critical Shop and do come along for another chance to view my 30years:30rings project and my pieces for the Bound,Fabricate,Worn exhibition at The Portico Library.

30years:30rings was a celebratory project of my favourite type of jewellery…..the ring. The project included lots of archive pieces, some new works and a range of collaborative rings. The collaborative pieces included wooden pompoms from @studio_critical hand cut sea glass stone from @jobulljewellery and beautiful textile works from @flux_.textile. A huge thanks to other collaborators @rebeccalawleysilver @jademellorjewellery @cverityjeweller @cherry.chung.willowartist @keeleytraae_3d @skenstudios & @sophievictoriadesign .

Do come and visit, chat and try on the rings on Saturday and I will tell you all about the next step 😀 oh yes and some will be for sale x

I took very few photos of my week at The Bowl Gathering, a digital detox and craft filled week.

Thanks to @woodlandmakers @yoav.kafets and all of the other folks who made it happen. What an absolute blast.

Meeting new people (whose s I didn't get 🤣) catching up with folks. Getting a piggyback ride from @leejohnphillips 🤣. Late nights and early mornings. Making new things, eating good food and playing games. What a beautiful week we had. I'm going to tag some folks so they can hopefully connect me to some of the people I met but didn't get details from. 🙏🏼

Somehow I didn't make a bowl but I did weave a split Hazel basket under the tuition of @flohamer Thanks Flo!

Made 2 brushes with @wildcraftedhome thanks Raleigh!

Forged a knife with @adamashworth97 Thanks Adam!

Made a hook with the one and only @john_mullaney813
Thanks John!

And carved some spoons amongst the fine folks.

Hope to be back next year!
