Drum roll... no. 100 of 'Cölsk' - off out into the big wide world this week. And to mark the occasion - a painting inspired by the book's cover. There are so many to choose from (2nd pic) but I'm a bit partial to the 'is it blue, is it green' versions.

We started making the books back in October, 100 have been made - beautifully hand sewn by Sylvie, printed, stencilled, cölsked and pressed by myself. A big thank you to everyone that bought a copy and for all the incredible feedback. Thank you Kev and Federico for all your help too !

That time of year again ! A log or two on the log burner 🔥

Painting from 2024 - Steve Igs in the Library at Dial House (with three cats). I First met Steve and visited Dial House in 1978 when he was in Crass, a band and a group of people that truly inspired my life, I won't be alone in saying that. Dial House is a beautiful 450 year old cottage, well off the beaten track, always welcoming and still home to Penny and Gee who have lived there since the mid 1960s.

The painting is based on a black and white photo taken by Mark Pickstone and taken in the early 1980s capturing a wonderful snapshot of life at the house.

Anyone going to see Igs and band at Norwich Arts Centre this month ?

All The Arms We Need lino cut finished.
Paper (120gsm) - light pink / light grey / off white and ink - black / red all in-house so ready to print.
Posters will be 715mm x 575mm. Time to clear some table and floor space !

Cracking on with the All The Arms We Need lino cut and my optimistic side would say I'm at the half way stage... Paper and ink on its way, posters will be hand printed 70cm x 55cm, black lettering, image and symbols with red border on off white / light pink / light grey 120gsm paper.

Mocking up the next lino print. Will be approx 70cm x 55cm. Planning on going with black and red ink on 120gsm paper - off white, light pink and light grey. For this one the image and letters will remain, cutting out the relief, so plenty of carving out to do ! Next stage - trace and put reverse image on to the A1 size lino.

Copy of Cölsk off to the 1 in 12 Library Collective in Bradford with a 1 in 12 Club inspired hardback cover.
Played some great gigs over the years at this incredible place so very happy that a copy of Cölsk will now be on the shelves of the library.
