⭐️ Meet our other new instructors for 2026/2027! They are incredible and we are so excited that they are joining our staff!

🌟MAKAYLEE MERRITT

MK Merritt is an accomplished dance instructor, choreographer, and former competitive cheerleader from North Richland Hills, Texas. With years of experience teaching acrobatics, hip hop, tumbling, and technique, she is passionate about helping dancers build confidence, develop strong technical foundations, and discover their love for performing.

MK has trained extensively in the commercial and competitive dance industry. She was a member of Team Athena, one of the nation’s premier all-female hip hop crews, where her team earned the title of World of Dance Dallas Champion and Down South 1st Runner-Up. MK has trained with renowned choreographers including Todd Williamson, Gab Robert, and Dez Soliven, bringing professional-level performance quality and current industry knowledge into every class she teaches.

MK graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of North Texas with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology, and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Criminal Justice. Her background in psychology and child development enhances her ability to connect with students, foster positive learning environments, and mentor young athletes both inside and outside the studio.

“I believe every dancer has the potential to succeed with the right combination of hard work, encouragement, and quality training. My goal is to inspire each student to grow in confidence, artistry, and technique while creating a positive and supportive atmosphere where they can thrive.”

🌟HAILEY HARDING

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Hailey is a professional dancer and dance instructor with over 11 years of teaching experience. After she graduated Booker T. Washington HSPVA back in 2013, she went on to study at Pace University in New York in their commercial dance BFA program.

Hailey has danced professionally with Dallas based dance companies, B. Moore dance company, Dark Circles contemporary and Pedestrian dance movement. She has also trained under and performed works by Complexions Contemporary Ballet, D by @studiobdallas

Meet some of our amazing new instructors!! We are so excited to welcome them to the team and for your dancers to learn from them!

✨ Makaila is a professional dancer and dance instructor with over five years of teaching experience. Originally from Hawai‘i, she moved to Austin to attend The University of Texas at Austin, where she recently graduated with a BFA in Dance and a minor in Arts Management and Administration, Hook ’em Horns! She recently moved to Dallas to pursue teaching opportunities and join Zion Dance Project as an incoming company member. Makaila has experience teaching contemporary, ballet, lyrical, jazz, technique, and choreography to dancers of all ages and is passionate about creating an environment where students feel supported and confident while also being challenged to push themselves and reach their full potential!

✨ “I’m excited to work at Studio B and share my love of dance in both the teaching and administration side of operations. I can’t wait to build relationships, see growth in my students, and learn from other staff this season!”

✨ Born in Port Au Prince, Haiti, Elijah began training at age seven in Arkansas and Tulsa, OK. He graduated from The Ailey School’s Certificate Program in 2018. He’s performed with Ailey II, The Black Iris Project, Houston Ballet, and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Lancaster starred as the principal dancer/actor in the Emmy-winning film “WILD: These Walls Can Talk” by Jeremy McQueen. He’s was also a dancer/actor in Houston Grand Opera’s “West Side Story.” Lancaster has worked with choreographers like Norbert De La Cruz III, Nejla Yatkin, Amy Hall Garner, Channel Da Silva, Darrell Grand Moultrie, Andrea Miller, Francesca Harper, Christopher Huggings, and William Forsythe.

✨“I am excited to challenge and push the kids in all that they do, to be better humans and dancers.”

✨ Evelyn Douches is a recent graduate from the University of Georgia, where she received a BBA in Marketing and a minor in Dance. Most recently, she was a member of the UGA Georgettes and Dance Dawgs! She has been dancing since she could walk and has been teaching dance/choreographing for the past 5 years!

New Hip-Hop dance class offering!!
We are SO excited to let you know we have added a Hip Hop IV class to our schedule.

✨Wednesdays from 8:15 - 9:00 for ages 11+ and led by one of our amazing new instructors, Mia Moore.
Mia just moved here from Miami University in Ohio, where she was on the dance team for all 4 years!
